I wanted to share something quick - the first sentence "a year has come and a year has gone" was something I really leaned into. I feel like the idea of chasing our dreams usually is dependent on if people enjoy whatever it is we do - we usually give them the power to define if we were successful - for me , it was do this thing for one year - one year just go for it all out - and I really encourage you, no matter what just go for that thing for one year

I just found your channel and subscribed because of this video. I wish you the very best for the next year as you continue your journey. I’m kind of in the same place you were a year ago, about 3-4 months ago I finally made the decision to post consistently and try my best to bring value with my photography channel. Still have so much to learn but I’m not giving up. I look forward in checking out more of your videos and seeing what you post in the future.🤙👊

Amigo, i have been watching your videos for 8 weeks! 8 weeks ago I decided I was taking my kids out of School in UK, moving us all to Cyprus and starting a KZfaq channel. 8 weeks later we have done that and with no experience & 11 videos have grown to nearly 500 subs and 400 watch hours. Not sure where the future takes us, but you have been part of that journey without even knowing it! Thank you!

20% - the Dream Team! To be honest, in 1 year from now i want to do what you are doing now, content wise. The mix of filmmaking and storytelling in a self-improvement, reflection type way is just the perfect middleground in my life right now. I always struggle with motivation or self-sabotage, be it procrastination or saying „i need this for that“, but still there is this voice and hope in me that just knows that it´s gonna work out. Sometimes it just does require a lot of hard work and i´ve never done that for myself - which is about to change. Thanks for your videos, your thoughts, your perspective, your voice - you matter and inspire so many out there to pursue their own dreams. Never stop creating and always trust the process! See you in 1 Year ⭐

I am a part of the 20% who reached the end. I have some big dreams, but if I had to think within the context of a year I'd certainly want to be in a much more healthier state, both mentally AND physically. That mean finally putting in the good work to start losing some weight and body fat. I'd also like to start exploring my passions for real this time and not leaving them dry out as untouched ideas. That means signing up to drama/film clubs, getting a camera and starting to create some projects I and some friends have had in mind. Slowly picking up drawing again. Now, I am writing all this as the thoughts are coming out one after the other unfiltered, and I realise that this is a plentiful list. I have to concentrate on one, so I can in the future move on to the next. A new day has come, and I'm slowly getting there.

I recently got your vids recommended, this really struck something. So many things happened since I started to follow this road. Since graduating half a year ago and starting an agency things haven’t been easier, running out of savings and in need of some income.. Been hunting for a part-time job for months now. Anyway, our first post goes online this weekend and I’m looking forward to building something I have control over, as you said. Purpose has gotten me so far, and I’m sure it can take me further. Videos like these really feel like resting points along the journey, thank you. I dropped a sub, can’t wait to see what’s next. Keep up the good work. Godspeed!

I love the videos you make so much that I often find myself longing to do what you do here so beautifully. But I see how much of a discredit that is to your work, and it is why I will likely only ever have the pleasure of appreciating this art form from the outside. Because there is a truly soul consuming attention to detail and devotion that goes into making any art that is worth admiration. It is so easy to arrogantly diminish the effort of your results, and simply want to switch lanes in the ignorance of all the obstacles your art has to offer in exchange for the obstacles I know to exist within my own. So thank you for showing me time and time again the results of hard work, these reminders may very likely be the only thing that will keep me from straying the path of my craft long enough to see it's fruition. Congratulations on another fruitful labour, I look forward to what you do next.

20%! The colors and composition in your videos are so fantastic and fresh! One year from now I hope to still be working with my hands and creating. I worked in office administration for more than 10 years. In that time I went to school for a bachelors and a masters degree. Since I was a child I loved to sew but had stopped exploring with fiber and material for many years. In 2022 I left my admin job and was burnt out. I had made so many life decisions based on wanting people to think that I was strong, confident, very responsible and professional, but I lost the child within. Over the last year and nine months I’ve come back to myself, praise God. My inner child has come out of hiding and I’ve explored so much in fiber art. I also finally let myself say that it’s ok if I don’t want to turn my creative passions into a business, it doesn’t make it any less valuable to me. On Monday I start a full time sewing job where I’ll be sewing outdoor gear for a company who makes all their gear right here in the US. I’m so excited that I finally get to use the sewing skills that I started to develop at age 12 for work now, and I love that I just get to keep stitching miniatures and creating art as a hobby. That is such a gift to me. Thank you for sharing your story with us, Andrew!

Thanks for this, Andrew. Ever since pursuing a creative path around 3 years ago, resistance has been my biggest enemy. No amount of books, KZfaq videos, or Reddit threads have done anything to directly change that. In fact, they are a means for me to mentally avoid the real work that needs to be done. I really think that overcoming resistance or getting out of my own way is the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. And I don't think that will ever change. However, I do believe I can get better at it. It is incredibly frustrating to see artists that can be consistently great and to assume that they don't deal with the same struggle. However, videos like this reinforce that everyone deals with it, and that it is possible to take one step at a time and overcome that resistance. I believe and wish that everyone who reads this can overcome, day by day, the side of their mind telling them why they shouldn't or even can't do what they believe they can. Anyways, this is my sign to get off KZfaq, stop thinking about the outcome, and just go take a step.

20%- Thank you so much for being honest and making this video. I have been struggling and realised I've been low-key self-sabotaging myself from achieving my dreams as I have been scared to put in my 100% in case I fail, as I'm tired of letting others control what happens to me (my dream is get a job at a prestigous firm as I've graduated with an MBA earlier this year, which was a miracle to achieve in of itself). But watching this video and hearing what your dad said has helped me put things in perspectve- I can't control what other people think or choose, but I can control how I act and move forward. So, thank you again and I hope to see you continuing to film a year or 10 years from now. -Eddie

20%! I've been following your videos for awhile, and I absolutely love them. A few have definitely brought me to tears. Lately, I've really been struggling to find the WHY and defining my dreams. I have a moderately successful life & career. But the last 5 years seemed to have completely supplanted whatever WHY I may have had earlier in life with pretty large hole. I don't currently know what my dream is. However, my current plan is to buy a house and be moved in and living outside of the city by this time next year. At the end of that plan, I'll be closer to family, less distracted by some of the minutia of life (hopefully), and have achieved the goal of owning a home. I'm hopeful that this transition will put me a place to truly find my WHY. So, all that said, next year when you post a follow up video to this one, 🤞I'll be able to say how much I love my new life and post my goals/plans/dreams for the following year. Thank you, and keep up the fantastic work!

20%er...I truly appreciate your authenticity and I can tell anyone in your circle is lucky to call you a friend. 1 year goal..wow..you think you know what you want until someone asks you that question. I'd say besides going full-time on KZfaq, I just want to get better each day at my craft. I mention this often, but I've been on YT for 10+ years, built a large channel and left that in the past. My interests and direction changed, so I'm essentially starting this journey all over again which can be scary at times. However, its never a loss because the skills we learn along the way cannot be taken from us. I say all that to say, I'm happy people like yourself never gave up cause the content you create impacts people. I'm truly happy you are finding success and doing what you enjoy..just know that documenting your journey is helping people with their own. ~ Gabriel

"All I can see is forward and what I don't have." That hit home. I have a similar experience. Plus the other uncontrollable challenges of life, to pursue my dream becomes taxing. So this video really came in clutch. lol (20% fam) 1 year from now I hope I'm alive and have published 100+ newsletter issues and posted at least 100 videos on KZfaq (no matter the quality of the audio). And also just enjoy the joy of creating and let go of things like validation from other people and monetary validation. Keep up the good work, mate! It's been wonderful watching your work.

Thank you for this video. It's very interesting for someone like me who has often faced doubts about their goals and dreams. Although motivation is helpful, its impact didn't last long for me. Listening to people like you talk about their early challenges online has helped me feel less isolated and more confident during my twenties......and yes I will surely come back here this day nxt yr. !!!

Holy shit. "My reasonings weren't fueled by the desire to achieve something great because I loved it. It was to prove to others that I was something more than my OWN PERCEIVED THOUGHTS OF HOW I WAS VIEWED." What a line.

@@AndrewPaul1 I resonated with this entire video. As someone who just started her KZfaq channel, it's comforting to know that even someone making incredible videos like you is challenged with the, "Why am I doing this?" questions. Thank you for sharing this.

20% here too. Happy to have found you; i truly enjoy your perspective and clear thinking. In a year, I plan to have attempted to run a small business on the weekends, in hopes of turning it into my day job. My goal in that period is to pay for the equipment with profits. We'll see where life takes us!

A proud member of 20% Team here. As I was watching your video I started thinking about how was my life on July 1st 2023 and from there I travelled through many ideas, wishes, dreams and what ifs. Im content with where I am and who I became now, but I don't know who I will continue to evolve to, and where, and how. It is interesting tho, instead of depressing, because character development is continious and it happens either you put intentional effort or not. This way of thinking keeps me sane and fine. However, sometimes I wish to be someone who is so dedicated about one specific thing and just goes for it with all means and energy. I guess one cannot fit all to a lifetime, so gotta be happy with the way we are :) Appreciate your thoughts and the way you visualise them, you are actually so good. Thank you!

20%- I think it’s so relatable the how you said you are where you wanted to be 1 year ago yet you’re still reaching outwards as if you’re still not there. I’ve experienced that feeling and it sometimes it’s just exhausting and overwhelming but I will over come it 🤞🏾
