This week I attempted to scale an 85ft cliff face to overcome my fear of heights. Thank you so much to Genesis for lending us the GV80 and making this episode possible! For more information about the GV80, check out their website at: www.genesis.com/us/en/2021/ge...
DISCLAIMER: This challenge was filmed under the supervision of multiple parties, with safety as our #1 concern. Please do not attempt any climb of any kind without proper supervision, training, and safety precautions in place!

Take into account that Alex Honnold backed out of his first attempt at Free Soloing El Capitan in Yosemite because he knew the conditions weren't right and did it another day. If a badass professional climber is putting his safety first (even if he's crazy enough to do something like a free solo) then you shouldn't feel bad about a mental block.

One of my fav episodes you've ever done. I lost my fiance in 2017 and my father four months after. From that I've gained a fear of driving, heights, flying, among others which i never had before. Yes that comes with getting older and no longer having the fearlessness we had as kids, but its largely due to the pain of the loss and seeing how it affected his parents.I have a fear of anything happening and putting my mother through the same thing. But this was a great motivator for me. This year on my 30th birthday I'll be older than my fiance and I want this year to be full of adventures and pushing myself to step out of my comfort zone. Love you Michelle, you have 😊been such a big part of my life since the og buzzfeed days

As a climber, I really love the coach's approach. I remember when I first started climbing I met some people who were discouraged and stopped climbing because of coaches who weren't patient and diminished their fears. Being supportive and encouraging on the wall is so important and he did such a good job I love it
