You definitely didn't let big homie down. Just by even being willing to help a friend out with his music and his dreams is a million times better than what MOST people do for us talented artists out here starving! Any artist will tell you that sometimes they just need a little pick me up by a friend even acknowledging that they enjoy their music and their craft! Everything else is just icing on the cake! 💯

I know the pain. I've been producing, rapping, singing for the greater part of 20 years. I have absolute HITS and for the most part, 99% of the people that have heard my music love it, but my career never took off because I isolate myself from the world. I'm basically a hermit. and in order to succeed in the music industry, we need to be more open to networking, building relationships, being out there with the people etc. But I have a tough time trusting anyone due to being fucked over on a regular when I was a kid/teenager growing up. For the last 3 years or so I've barely made any new music.. when before that, there were at least 10 years or more where I sacrificed everything in order to chase my dreams with music. I literally would wake up and make music til the time I went to bed for well over 10 years! I've shit on so many decent jobs I could've had chasing this dream. Now I'm fucking 40 years old.. and never made it in the industry (despite all the talent that's there..) and I can't even get a half decent job because making it with my music was the ONLY OPTION I had made up in my head... Cheers bro!@@thepjup4507

Hanging mics have been around forever. For instance, in boxing matches when the announcer comes onto the stage the mic lowers from the ceiling for them. For a fun music example, Rednex did a version of this for the music video of Cotton Eyed Joe. Except they replaced the mic with a light bulb for artistic effect, suggesting that this trope was already played out by the time they got around to doing it. I also found that John Mellencamp sings into a hanging mic in the video for Authority Song from 1983, but I'm sure people were doing it well before then.

This videos proves the complete opposite to ur opinion or theory. All it takes is a one hit wonder to make u blow up look at most of the artist in the rap industry right half of them blew up from some catchy song and half of them also have connections and know high valued people in the industry. They get lucky with finding the right people to push their stuff. It's always been about connections and who u know in the rap industry talent comes second. An tbh thats with a lot of industries knowing the right people can put u way further than busting ur ass and getting the same results. Which is the definition of insanity lol.

I’m no expert but I believe it just boils down to the talent itself, timing, and trendsetting or catching the current trend (quick). Can’t be corny or come off as trying too hard either. What seems to work is being original but if the originality isn’t unique then you gotta put a flare in it like have a bar that’s outta pocket to get people like “Yo did he just say that? Lol” or rapping while sitting on a fat lady’s shoulders just to get people talking.

Ayy! I'm here trying to figure what actually makes you go viral after having a video hit 20,000 views in less than 2 days on Facebook Reels. Usually, If I'm lucky, I'll get a couple hundred, so yeah, that's huge!! But it truly is all luck. I'll actually shared a post afterwards asking my supporters what they think I did differently? Not anything but a different angle in my home studio setup. And yes, I've put way more time/investing into planned videos/posts that flopped completely and the one that hit 20 (And now 25k 3rd day) was zero effort of me spitting a verse off a new song and captioned it's coming out next month. I'd say just keep going, keep progressing your craft and making good music. That's really all I can suggest honestly. And of course, keep posting content! 🤷‍♀ Thank you so much for this video speaking on the trend though Pat, I love this idea! Your broom standing stillness pose had me dead lmao 💀😂 Ironically dope since the song is actually dope too! Anyways, good luck creators, artists and all!! - Da Killa KC 🤞🏻

I think they lacked cinematic feel like those viral channels do, they don't just do it off random gimmicks, its a universal song, a cinematic background and an artist that comes off confident and relatable which I don't feel with kwe and you can tell he loves everything he does which is great but not in this type of videos you need someone who knows when you're actually looking at a viral content piece and when a redo is needed. Also notice that most of those videos didn't reveal the mic stand, so why did you? I think its the mystery of the settings that help them gain more watch time, revealing it at the end seems more ironic/funny. great content though

This video perfectly describes the youtube struggle. 1. Work hard, edit, throw up stuff you think is going to pop. 2. Be disappointed. 3. Repeat. 4. Get to a point where you are just like f-it and you find yourself dressing up in a Squidward costume. 5. Something randomly pops and you are like "wut"
@chonchi
@chonchi 9 ай бұрын
The thing with tiktok is that its 90% luck. If you kept doing these videos eventually one would pop, but anything under 10k is just the algorithm testing it I've found. The thing with artists that make high quality content is that the effort takes so long. So this could be supplemented with 1-2 videos a day of current trends, kwe showing snippits or just talkin about something, bts videos, etc. Then once one of those hits a bigger number, you drop a high quality one the next video.

The only reason they didn’t get big has to be because of the low following. If any bigger artists did these they would go viral

Pat playing 4D chess it was never about going viral with those tiktoks. It was about finding a creative way to promote his friend on a platform with half a mill subs. I bet if I go on bro's socials he's blown up already.

I think it would be interesting to revisit this idea later in time and use all of the same videos you shot and see if the stuff will blow up. We’re seeing more and more people promoting older songs and them blowing up so it could add to the experiment and confirm the randomness of virality.

Technically speaking just from this video, 1.2 million people have seen him. I think if you invest in making more videos of him and putting them on your platforms he will pop.

This is exactly what the problem is with rap and music rn. If you don’t have some unique look or some catchy draw then you’re just not getting seen. Musicians are just slaves to the algorithm sadly

I remember way back you used to get an email every time someone comments or subs to you. I can see how that would be annoying for bigger KZfaqrs though.
