I crash my kitfox airplane ! My aircraft engine dies on takeoff and I was left with an engine out situation and had to preform an emergency landing. Flying off airport, preforming bush flying STOL takeoff and landings.
there were no casualties and I survived. My aircraft runs out of gas fuel during take off. I wasn't high enough to land my airplane on the highway or road. I am not a student pilot.

@@cadolf3 ... Vapor lock... If you suspect the possibility you run the engine several minutes at 50% while on the ground. Avgas might have helped. Most of these guys use non ethanol car gas Also nearly all aircraft that I'm familiar with have a sediment drain/water separator on the fuel bowl. You could drain enough to insure there is no vapor in the lines.. Also insulating the lines to prevent heat soak. 50 yr CP AP here. Never been around a kitfoxes or rotax.

The way it shut down didn’t act like fuel starvation. It was too sudden, usually fuel starvation surges and while quickly doing so it’s still more gradual than the sudden drop. I personally think this is more an ignition issue. Thoughts?

This kind of videos are very valuable. It takes guts to show what and when somethings goes wrong! *kudos* to you! For you this was a *LUCKY* *DAY* ! Everyone watching this video can LEARN from it. Experience is the sum of all the mistakes done... I won't say you stepped too hard on the brakes - who would NOT brake to stop the plane from going into the water? That is just *hindsight* - not a true fault. You made the correct action to brake. The only bad judgement you made was RUSHING it. Had you done everything like the plane had been on ground for days, this would not have happened. This happened BECAUSE you are SKILLED with your plane - and young. *Checklists* make sure skilled pilots slow down... If you rush things you miss things and they will bite back - with some bad luck. Running the engine for a while before takeoff is NOT only to warm the engine, it also makes sure the engine will continue to run, it gives you time to detect any signals, instrument readouts, noise, vibrations that are unusual or not normal. Checklists are not only for beginners to learn to get a license, they are there to remind skilled pilots that gravity is unforgiving, that the checklist is a tool to make it as safe as possible. For you this was a *LUCKY* *DAY* !!! You learned a lot, so did I watching it. Thank you so very much for posting this video! Safe flying!
