It's what separates the good from the great in sports. Whether you're talking about running, skating, or swimming, being faster than your opponent can give you the edge you need to win.
But what about baseball? It's not exactly a sport known for its speedy players, is it? Sure, there's the occasional stolen base or a mad dash for home plate, but for the most part, it's a game that's known for being played at a leisurely pace.
Well, that's what most people think. But I had an idea. An idea that would change baseball forever. I created the fastest player of all time.

What I'm about to say is likely pretentious, but I think a big part of what we perceive as "high production value" is actually top-notch storytelling. Don't get me wrong - your audio and video quality is great! But for me, it always comes back to pitch-perfect ideation, writing and editing. This one was another banger, man. 1:41 had me laughing so hard I had to pause the video and put my phone down. Great stuff.

Just so you know… If there is an error on the play it is not an inside the park home run. Luckily there wasn’t an error on the play so it’s a inside the Parker. Seinfeld made this famous when Kramer promised a dying kid Paul O’neal would hit him 2 homers, and it appears it happened, but turned out there was an error on the play and he got a triple not an inside the park.

Fun fact. You can initiate a player lock in franchise mode. Just go to the start game menu, then click player lock and select the player you want to play as. The game will automatically sim through everything else and only have you play as that player. With a camera view that is Locked to that player. If you do this again. I'd recommend doing that.

This sounds like a Major League movie plot. Some track and field guy down south of the border is witnessed making a home run with an in park dinger just as a scout is watching the game and gets signed by the Blue Jays. he's not very good in the field, but he can pop the ball into the park and round the bases before the other team gets it back to the in field. The Show 2007 had an awesome glitch where you could steal home literally every time you made it to 3rd. The animation for stepping off and throwing a pick-off to 3rd was slower than the time it took to just run home lol

Does 125 speed actually work this year? I know last year in RttS you could get to more than 99 speed but it didn't actually make you faster than a 99 speed person, even though it would show your proper triple digit speed on the basepath map, and this doesn't even seem to do that. However if we CAN get more than 99 speed that actually functions I am already salivating in anticipation Also that "restart every time it doesn't work" thing gave me nightmares about a moment where you have to hit an inside-the-parker that would be brutal

@@alternatefuturemapping idk about franchise, they may have changed it, but a couple years ago they made ratings go up to 125 so they could make more money so that all the maxed out roster people had a reason to spend more on better players

The As had a designated runner back in the day, so the idea of getting someone insanely speedy isn't that out there. That is when the As were actually decent, though. IIRC it was a track and field star that just got brought in to run, no hits, nothing, just one job, and oh it was amazing

On MLB The Show 15, without any cheats, I got my player up to a 117 speed. I would lead off third three shifts and if the pitcher was stupid enough to throw to third I could break for home and beat the throw from third to home 100% of the time. 99 speed + as much speed equipment I could get. 😂
