To answer this question, I made a zero overall player, and played an entire season with him to see if it's possible.

@@Saltyahole which is why I hate the OVR system in sports games. I'm a big supporter of giving everyone the same OVR and just having special abilities. All Pro Football 2k8 did this almost perfectly.

My very juiced up character spent 7 years breaking records, including a 187 game hitting streak, and at the end of my contract I was offered single A options, and league minimum money. The game is a little broken when it comes to crazy performances and what to do with you it seems.

0 ratings for pitching stats are meant to be around pitcher hitting levels, so like .130 Avg with .030 Iso or so. Which means you'd expect 2-3 HR a year from such a player, given a full season.

I created an entirely custom league which of course included custom players and many of them I left their overall skill level extremely low (below 20) and the opposing teams were forced to use many of these players in their everyday lineup. The results were very interesting. Players with 0 power can hit home runs, especially when facing pitchers who have an overall rating less than 10.

Sent to the minors while hitting .380 🤡 I wish the AI logic favored performance over stat attributes. I attempted to do a sorta Career Mode/Career Revival for a struggling player in Franchise Mode. And no matter how well I played, I basically rode the bench the whole year while my teammate played the majority of games at my position...and hit .180

big dick dingus dingerson is the type of player you hear about in the 1930s. He's a 45 year old alcoholic and he's the best player in the sport. Breaking records left and right he was unstoppable back in the day. He was the forefather to the catcher position

@@warlordofbritannia 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣When I was like 11 I played MLB 2k5 and had a player named Oreo Jones. He used to hit 10 Hrs per game. I'd end up with like 40-50 + HRs per game. All of my players has 100 stats on everything and I put all of the computers stats at 0. I put EVERY ALLSTAR player in all of baseball on my team. Id have ARod3rd, Jeter ss, Posada C, Pulos 1st base, Oreo Jones 2nd, Tori Hunter CF, Gary Shefield Rf , David Ortiz DH, Manny Ramerez LF. My pitching line up was Roger Clemens, Roy Oswald, Josh Beckett, Pedro Martinez, Johan Santana. Then I'd take a few other Allstars and put them on my team just so other teams wouldn't have them🤣🤣🤣🤣 It was amazing! And I also did the same thing with NBA Live 2004 and 2005🤣🤣🤣🤣 Good times man! Thanks for bringing me back to memory lane!!! I gotta get a new play station and buy The Show now!!!!
