Ay. Olaplex 2 and 3 also have protein in them so it might have been that. Olaplex 2 is concentrated so it is possible that leaving it on overnight is what caused the breakage on already fragile pre-colored parts. I love the black though. Darker colors are so rich. And black hair is in a class of its own.

Yeees, Aphogee is the OG! I was introduced to it in the late 80s-90s, we love to wear braids! My hairdresser used this on my hair when I came out of braids; everytime😇 Stops the shedding after braids, but the moisture treatment kept it from breaking/shedding! Last year, I added this treatment to my Clients 😇 I had forgotten about it due to new products that promised the same results 🤔 Duh, this is the only protein, keratin treatment I use for clients 😇 Try it! If it ain’t broke; you know the rest! I have clients that had major damage from sew ins, relaxers, and aleopcia ; results Great😇

So you can use aphogee protein treatment even if your hair isn't damaged? Im asking because i was considering using it before i get my braids next week.
@robinerica4706
@robinerica4706 5 жыл бұрын
Rachel Lewis you can definitely use it even if you don’t have damage. But I would say do it after your braids just because you wanna follow up with moisture after aphogee. Might not be able to do that with your hair locked up in braids you know?

wow... I am so glad I stumbled on your channel... not to many youtubers would be up front and personal like you about hair damage and what's needed to do to prevent it and move forward. l've been doing a lot of research and looking at a lot of different videos and I have to say, your channel is the most realist I've seen. I am not a big fan of the wash and go style and as a result I was putting my back in sleek buns... and when I went to the salon this past weekend to get a treatment and get my ends professional trimmed, its there the stylist noticed some breakage and damage. I lost an inch of my hair and I realized, I need to do what's best for me and stop trying to adopt to the hair trends. I don't have to slick press my hair out every two-four weeks... but I now know there are different options e.g. heatless curls for one. Pardon the rant and thanks for positing.

Okay!!! Am I the only person who jumped when that broken glass sound broke out @8:55 ? Anyways, your hair came out lovely! I just big chopped, again (boo hoo), in August. I'd love to color my hair, I have a few early grays around the hairline (it's genetic) that are getting on my nerves and I am afraid of my frying my hair with coloring since I've never had it done. So, if I may, I have a few questions? #1 - Did dying your hair that red color and then covering it with the black color change the texture of your nature hair or is that some previous heat damage or both? This is a concern for me since because I really want to cover the few grays but I don't want to cause my natural hair texture to change. I already had to big chop because of irreversible damage and I don't want to do it again. #2 - Do you still do Keratin treatments and if so, what exactly are they good for and do you recommend only letting a professional do them? Thanks for any help! P.S. Its 2am and I just binged watched about 15 - 20 of your earlier videos LOL! Love it!

It’s a great product, everyone should use it when dealing with color/ lifting hair! When lifting these bundles from China, Olaplex will show you if it’s quality hair, too😇 Just letting nonprofessionals, esp they sell these products in my community California only to licensed Cosmetologist 😇

but when did the breakage occur bc it wasn't due to the treatment you did in this video. you would have seen the hair come out in the comb or go down the drain right

Tierra, I am at that point in my natural life of cutting my hair. It's just not the same and it's DEFINITELY time for a change. By you even showing the real you just freaking love it

I'm just so confused tho... If you realized your hair broke off why would you do a blow out (heat), flat iron it (heat), and then flat iron it AGAIN to curl it (MORE HEAT). I would be scared to even look at my fine tooth comb let alone use a flat iron. Is it just me? 😟
