Would that allow me to shape the pillow and have it stay that shape?

Yes. I have an anti aging pillow. That is my ideal shape however I changed the filling to buckwheat. Now I can sleep on my back but occasionally I roll to my side and my face is still suspended in the air.

I just watched a review for it, and it unfortunately seems no different than the first beauty pillow I ever tried. The "bumpers" are too far apart to actually keep your head from smushing into the pillow:( It's really discouraging that these manufacturers who are promoting themselves as face-savers don't seem to know the size of a human head 🤷‍♀
