For pottery as a fun social activity: I used to be a ceramics instructor. I taught at a studio that allowed group nights and private lessons just for fun, not necessarily for “education” My FAVORITE groups to have were friends groups and girl scouts. It was always the one friend who suggested and all the other friends are like “huh. Okay let’s go” and they ALWAYS had an amazing time. It was so fun to see other people having fun. Adults enjoying a play experience is truly a rewarding experience. I would highly highly recommend it.

One of my friends and I have 5 kids 6 and under, combined. While my husband was deployed, she drove over to my house a couple times after we put our kids to bed, I ordered in food for us, and we stayed up and talked until 11 pm. It made a huge difference ❤

I really appreciate what Jana said about asking yourself why you go to your church if all you can say is negative things. It's too easy to fall into that attitude & then you have a lens on looking out for issues only. I know it's important to evaluate if a church family is truly healthy enough to be a part of it, so there's that. But I also reminded myself of my church and why I love being there and there are so so many reasons! This can also help in a lot of different areas, to be honest. Sound, practical advice!

This is a sticky point for us. We joined our church 2019, and 2020 brought a LOT of change. Honestly, the only reason I go is my husband 😅 and the only reason he goes is because he hasn't felt a clear ok from God to move on. I ha e to pray a lot about my heart since we have three kids I'd rather have attending elsewhere.

5 is the magic number for me! I intentionally set out to find women that I felt a connection with and then brought us all together! We blended so well, did Bible study together, prayed together, we stay connected through text and even though 2 of us have moved to different areas, we still stay connected. 3 of us continue to do weekly Bible study through FaceTime. All 5 of us are still friends and plan gatherings. Thank you God!

So excited about the next phase of this podcast. Congratulations 🎉 I know that all my female elders use to spend dedicated time each week, between meet-ups, calling or writing friendships. Although we communicate differently I just notice the amount of effort they put into forming and maintaining friendships that I could emulate more.

I am an introvert and have struggled with friendships and making conversations in the past, especially as a teenager. Some of the things that has helped me were working in customer service jobs, learning communication skills and doing speech class in school, and most importantly to go to events or social gatherings with the attitude of wanting to reach out to someone there that looked lonely. Also understanding that everyone feels socially awkward at times😊

When I had our first daughter and became a stay be a stay at home mom it made the idea of MLMs sound amazing! I wanted to make extra money to help our little family… but after I spoke to my husband about it he explained how their business strategy is set up (he literally just learned it in a college business class!). He basically told me I should never be apart of one and how their run seems like extortion, which is unbiblical. I learned a lot and am thankful I didnt sign up to sell Mary Kay (hahahaha… yeah, thst long ago! Mary Kay would give you a free pink car for sales! Lol)

I could never be a part of a mom's group when I first became a mom because I worked during the day but all my friends from work became moms so we formed our own group & we meet for a mom's night once a month and then meet for a weekly play date (when all of our lives aren't too busy as they have been this summer!) It's a small group and we end up adding a mom or two here & there but have the same core group. We break into 2's and 3's for extra outings but our text chat is what keeps us close weekly or if any issue comes up we have that support to lean on!

Great video girls! I think a podcast on MLM would be great because it is so prevalent with social media whether it be IG or FB. It is an especially difficult subject even when a long time friend has decided to get into the MLM and how that can affect a good friendship. A long time ago I decided to not go to any parties such as skin care parties or home product parties etc. (they may not do these as much these days) therefore I don't feel pressured to buy something I don't need or want. I just graciously say no thank you. I feel the same way about IG these days. I started unfollowing people I initially loved to follow due to their content but then the constant selling of products really turned me off. I just felt as though their IG account turned into one informercial after another. I know people are trying to make a living but IG has really created a lot of materialistic people and unnecessary consumerism is at an all time high. Alright off my soapbox! I love to follow you both and I appreciate your authenticity and honesty talking about subject matters that may be awkward to discuss. God bless you both!!

Would love to hear a podcast on your thoughts of MLMs! I personally don't believe there is anything wrong with them! Its a great opportunity for stay at home moms to make some money! I do believe there is a right way to do them and a wrong way! So many people have done it the wrong way that it gives mlms a bad rap! But there are a lot of people who are doing it well! You don't have to loose friendships over it! And it should never be forced! But if I genuinely love a product why can't I share about it! Just my thoughts! Would love to hear a podcast on it! 😊

This! I was pretty anti MLM until I met a few beautiful souls that do it WELL. Using it to serve others well, bless missions and those in need with donated commissions plus bring in just a bit extra for your own family/ purchases is so rewarding. Find a consultant who does it well and support her. It’s HARD WORK to run any business, even direct sales. ❤

As a Latina person, I struggle to understand the need for this kind of topic. We are such a social bunch. We talk to everyone, anywhere. It’s so normal to just talk to strangers. You can make a friend for life while waiting in a queue somewhere. I feel you are a much closer and introverted than us(that is a simplistic way to look at it, I know). My sister lives in the USA (we are Brazilian) and that is something she always talks about. It’s a lot harder to make friends there than it is here. We hug, we kiss, we talk, we like people, we enjoy being together.

Subscribed to the new channel! I love these videos. I just wanted to say that it does get harder the older you get. I'm almost 40 and have social anxiety that has really gotten worse as I've aged and been rejected multiple times from mom😮 groups that were "already full." I have two friends who I see once every few months (I actually had a third friend that was ruined due to an MLM). I just keep myself busy (no envy, no self pity), but some days are hard. 😮

This was really a good one! It made me thinking in some points. Though I must say if one is part of large community like you two it's really easy to make friends, choose groups etc etc. I think you might not really know and feel how it is living without such a community and fighting to make friends at all. I would have loved to hear something about the topic friendships between men and women, but maybe it's not accepted in mennonite communities? And I am really curious how your work on youtube might have changed your friendships Meghan, but that might be to personal.... thanks for sharing and inspiring me today! Love from germany.

My paps have always been painful until I got the Dr I have now, which has delivered both my babies and is fantastic. With friends, I'm glad to know that everyone can have different personalities - some that are more outgoing, some that are quiet, and God accepts us all and I think acceptance and inclusion toward everyone is so important. We had a Church discussion where we were reminded that Jesus always sought out those that were alone, needed comfort, basically people who were forgotten about or outcasts by others.

I'm totally annoyed with the gender question as a mom of five boys so thank you for not being that person. Another way to ask if you're genuinely curious is "Hey, your children are adorable! Can I ask their names?" That's usually a clue in to what their genders are or can open the question easier like "Oh, Harper. That's a great name. Is your Harper a boy or a girl?"

Cervical cancer is much more prevalent in women who are or have had multiple sexual partners. These women who were married young and have been only with their husbands are not high risk for cervical cancer, which is what Pap smears test for.

Yay! New video. Random question. I know it wouldn't be normal in your cultural area to get a tattoo, but I'm curious what each of you would get as a tattoo if you were ever to get one! haha.

Hmmm that's easy because i sometimes think about what tattoo i would get. i would get something in honor of my babies in heaven. Maybe butterflies or their due dates... But to be clear, i won't actually be getting a tattoo 😅

Hmmm. Maybe something to remind me to speak KINDLY. I feel like I just am too blunt, especially with people close to me. No tattoos for me though!

In the UK we get a smear test (which is what we call them) every 3 years. We don't need to get undressed tho - just your lower garments, so no need to sit around getting cold! 😄 Of course we don't have to pay for them - or the mammograms we get every 3 years once we're over 50.

I would probably start with some pajama pants. They’re pretty easy and if they don’t turn out, you can still wear them to bed, nobody will see them!

Most of the major brand stores have hefty donations to LGBT causes and LGBT products, including Walmart. I can’t help but feel that people vocally boycotting Target are just virtue signaling online wanting others to know “btw I don’t approve of the gays!” As someone who is bisexual, I wish those stores didn’t sell LGBT stuff in June. They’re not doing it because they care about gay people. They’re doing it to turn a profit and I end up feeling gross or like a freak after all the discourse during June.
