Girl, I don't think you should apologise to this person. There's so much information freely available on the internet about how to use tretinoin correctly and infuencers repeatedly tell you it's a prescription drug and that you should only get a prescription from a dermat. And most people are very lax with barrier repair and sun protection because they use such creams without fully understanding the science behind it. None of us would blindly buy something to apply on our face without checking what it is thoroughly. It's their fault for not doing research and getting a schedule H drug without consulting with a dermat honestly.

Had bad bad like really terrifyingly bad acne back in my engineering days. Didn't care much about it but after graduation when I got into a MNC, my acne made me feel so... depressed. Started with 200mg of Doxycycline (100mg two times a day), acne was gone in like a month. Started with BP 2.5, moved to 5% in 3 months, and then the doc said it was time to switch to Tret 0.025 and then after 3 months to 0.05%. In less than 8 months, I have like 2 scars (very light), no acne, and super super smooth skin. I don't want to sound like a douchebag but even ladies in my team ask me what I apply. I always say Narial Tel (coconut oil).

Please do use a sunscreen when you are using any actives i started using tret that my dermat suggested to treat milia and told me to moisturize properly before applying. I used on the spots i had milia so it didn't caused much purging but sooner i started using all over my face i faced dry and really dehydrated skin i knew something is wrong and when i used to apply any sort of mosturiser it gave me a burning sensation and then i got to know that my skin barrier is affected due to no sun protection and i started using a ceremide based moisturizer which i didn't used before and it calmed and healed my skin barrier

But sunscreen also sting on tretinion skin....what to do...also we have to use double cleansing because of water resistant sunscreen....that ritual further rubbed skin every day... How can use tretinion I can't understand

Genuinely, I myself m final year Mbbs student...in every department such patients come who r taking advisory of either people or ai/ google etc....let t doctors do their work, a common man dosent knows the medical science behind it, the physiology behind it...whether its good or bad , truely all such people should stop prescribing these advices, even we can't prescribe in all genres after 6 yr's deegre

I have been using a tretinoin cream with 4% hydroquinone for years. However, I recently decided to stop using hydroquinone since I heard it can potentially lead to skin cancer. I still want to continue my tretinoin journey, but I don't think retinol would be effective for me. In that case, which of the Retin-A derivatives should I go for?

Heyy I suddenly got some brown patchy small spots on face My dermatologist prescribed me tretonoin 0.025% but when i apply it for 2-3 days it burns my skin so bad that i quickly have to stop it 😢 Can u suggest anything which will reduce its effect ? Plz

@@user-xh5ic1pr1f first wash your face with any mild face wash, then apply hyaluronic based moisturizer, wait for a few minutes to dry it and then take a pea size tretinoin cream /gel and apply it all over your face, do not massage with it and after 10 minutes apply any ceremide based moisturizer.

Because I don’t want to do anything wrong to my skin Ofc when I do dermarolling, I clean it before, after and also dry it. I don’t have time these days to put the dermaroller in alcohol solution 1 hour ago and all that. ☺️♥️ Thats the only reason.

It's just purging....make sure you use a good quality calming moisturizer like Bioderma or Cetaphil and enough sunscreen after every 4 hrs... it's working on your skin as it should and once it sheds all that skin... you'll have a good soft new layer of skin...which you ofcourse need to protect.... Remember Spf and good quality moisturizer is the key❤

use it at night right after cleansing you face and m preety sure sweating a lil wont matter much...as most are supposed to use with with a moisturizer

it's super worth it. i tried it and i have glass like skin now. the concentration is high, like 10% so i would definitely suggest applying just a little bit to be gentle on skin barrier.
