The screen requires 3mm thick material, we recommend baltic birch plywood. The best place to buy this is your local wood store, however you can find it pre-cut online, but it typically will cost more.

Subscribed. I'm thinking about buying a Laser in January, and my research so far is steering me toward the XTool S1 basic kit with air and honeycomb build plate. That's a lot of money. Can you tell me if I'd be wiser to buy something else?

Awesome, thanks for watching. One of the most important things to think about is what you want to make with the machine. Is it large enough and will it cut the material you want to use. Do you need more power to cut through thicker material. Many diode lasers don't have the same cutting abilities as lasers with a laser tube. These are all things to think about.
