My first time watching Tim Burton's Batman! Hope you all enjoy my reaction to the movie.

The acid actually turned Jack's face white. He wears skin colored makeup over top. That's why his face went white when Vicki threw water into his face. Small detail, but I always loved that. So much fun watching you experience this film for the first time! One of my all time favorites.

As much as I loved Heath Ledger's legendary performance (which was perfect for what Nolan was setting up), Jack Nicholson's portrayal will always be my favorite.

in regards to your question about if that’s Harley- in 1989, she didn’t exist. she was created for Batman: The Animated Series which aired in the 1990s :)

The "I'm Batman" line was adlibbed by Keaton. It was originally "I am the night."

Another thing that’s easy to miss is the reason for the smile. If you pay attention, the bullet that Batman deflects actually ricochets through Jack’s mouth/cheeks. You can see a few seconds of the wound before he covers it and trips. The surgeon later on tried to fix the damage but wasn’t entirely successfully due to the severed nerves and thus the smile.

To me Jack Nickoleson is the joker, Hamill is the Animated joker. Thats all there is to it. His peformance is amazing

This is actually the truest version of the Joker, he doesn't do what he does for political reasons or some anarchist manifesto, he does what he does because he finds it hilarious.

Fun fact: Harley Quinn did not make her first appearance in the comics, but in "Batman: The Animated Series" in 1992. She was supposed to be a one-off character, but audiences loved her so much that she continued to appear in the cartoons and she finally made her canon comic debut in 1999.

In retrospect, Prince’s “Batdance” is probably the weirdest single ever to reach #1 on the pop charts. 😄

The Joker scared the shit out of me as a little kid but I would watch this movie over and over again. I’ve probably been Batman like 6 times as a little kid for Halloween.
