This one has it all!! Topwater, jigging, deep dropping all in 1 day and at the end we hook in to a proper beast of a fish! Sometimes when the sea is rough and the weather man gets it all wrong it’s still worth trying ;)

G'day Matey!!! Well so much for Moonphase, Tidal Charts, Star Alignments and Time of Day being the bearing for great fishing indicators!! With bite after bite and some proper stonkers landed and in the Fish Bag this turned out to be a decently productive day out on the Big Blue!! That Whaler looked a lot like what they call "Bronzies" in New Zealand, must be a closely related species of shark. I hope the trip home was uneventful and that you and the Family had a lovely fish supper soon after!! Tell Abella to slow down growing until I can mail off this parcel of goodies, so that she fits into a little something I got her. As always Much Love to You, Tal, Abella and the Pups, Baz & Indi!!! Man, those fish pull hard. You're a fairly physical sort of guy by the looks, and used to the big shark action etc. But those bigger GTs are brutal. Well done on persisting and dealing with the conditions you had thrown at you - particularly the call not to go further out, when solo with a young one back at home to think of. What was the lure, mate? Looked like a shallow diving FCL Labo Minnow?

Yesss was getting a bit average out there!! I’m always logged on with coast guard and have my safety gear at hand but sometimes it’s just not worth it. Yes that was a fcl minnow mate !! The have a big presence in the water I like those bigger bodied lures for open water 👌👌

Hey mate. 2 questions, have you thought about filming from a goee on the noggin? Or you prefer it on the chest mount? Also, you’re very keen on not running a life jacket all the way out there on ya own! You go in and the current is running hard possibly could be curtains for ya bro.. 🤙🏻

Heya mate… I have but I’ve recently upgraded to have an external mic for better audio which is way too cumbersome to have strapped to your head all day haha. I do run a life jacket with a PLB while the boat is moving mate it’s a waist bag version so I can still run the GoPro and get around the boat easier 👌👌 also always log on with VMR and run a killswithch lanyard so plenty of safety precautions running long distance solo 🙌✅😁 trust me I don’t want to swim home either hahaha

@@CoastalChaosAdventures ahh yes the mic.. that makes sense bud. Ah very good. It’s very daunting being out wide by ya lonesome so good too hear you do take every precaution. Hahaha with how thick the sharks are at your spots I don’t think you’d make it very far haha. Cheers legend 🤙🏻
