Hello everyone I hope you enjoyed this video about my first nebula discovery. I talk about the discovery process, the inspiration behind undertaking the discovery journey, and how exactly I managed to discover this nebula in particular. This nebula is officially cataloged now as Falls Object 1, taking my last name. You can find its official listing here: planetarynebul...

This is super inspiring, Bray. Being able to discover new things like this is something I want to do someday. Thanks man. Congratulations on the discovery!

Hey Bray, your discovery and others' discoveries is why I got into astrophotography other than the fact that I have a disorder with my optical nerves that could leave me blind one day. So I want to image the unknown and find things that have not been found before with the hopes of leaving my mark on in the world. I think it our natural human desire to discover new things that keeps us going. I actually purchased a very narrow OIII and SII filters just to hunt for objects with my RASA 8 so funny you mentioned that those have almost no catalogs. Keep on hunting and I will too! Clear Skies!

Congrats! Would LOVE a vid discussing what, if any, role continuum subtraction played in making this discovery, how it works, and whether we need to employ it when we are searching for new objects.

It amazes me that the average person (with some dedication and money) can now start discovering their own faint objects. As you have probably heard many times, congratulations on the discovery!

Hello bray I am going to buy a takahashi fsq 106 . But before buying can you tell my this. Telescope cost too much as compared to other telescope and is it worth the money?

Amazing, congratulations! This also kind of made me a bit sad in the sense that you're right, we do all image the same things. Until I get so good that I can't really improve, that's when I think trying to discover objects will be a focal point for me.

Really imprssive. I'm just a 13 years old Italian boy, with a bad telescope and a very polluted sky. You really motivated me to maybe one day find out something; and for that I want to say thank you. Only thing is that I did not understand in case of a possible discovery who to consult.
