Firstly he didn't even win it or come in top 3 for the award and ballon dor or ranking should be used to show hiw good a player is. Mahrez finishing 10th is an example and anyone non biased should know he isn't the 10th best player in the world when there are a lot of players better than him such as sancho, aubameyang and sterling who finished below 10th.
