Why would you ever want to date a man who at one point said "I don't date Black Women"? find a man(of whatever colour) who would never say such a stupid thing.

Very hard for me not to give up on my sisters when my own mother was unable to show love or respect to her children. Then, when I started dating them, they were disrespectful and condescending (as my mother was toward me), eye rolling, yelling, hate to listen to sound advice, aggressive, haughty, dismissive, etc. So, I wound up having my daughter (very young) with a Latina woman who treated me like I’ve never been treated before by any sister!! Came back home and married a sister-divorced in 5 years! Have been single for many years now and I’m complemented and engage with other women much easier than my own sisters. I’m trying not to give up on them, but it’s hard when most sisters I meet are just like my mother!

I'm retired from a county government job. While in that job, I was always approached by women black and otherwise. Then once I retired, and became a security guard for extra income black women assumed I was broke, and had no money. Where as other women Asian and Hispanic women still gave me action. So guess what I'm with the women who gave me attention, and it was not my black sisters.

Findoutaboutme Black women don't want to lead. It's much easier to sit back and let the man lead. The problem is most black men don't know how to lead because they never had a decent father in their lives to show them how to be a real man. Those women probably feel like they have to lead because they are with men who are dependent on women. That sucks.

@10:30 ... soo... you're saying that I hate myself because I don't like a woman that happens to match my skin color? I hate myself because I don't date ghetto females, which in my personal experience is the majority of the black women I've met or run into? So what you're saying is that I hate myself because I don't want you. You (as a black woman or man) do not define me. NO black woman defines me, so therefore I do not hate myself even if I went so far as to hate YOU. I love other women that aren't YOU. That doesn't mean that some magical arrow is pointing back to me and that means that I hate myself. I don't owe black women ANYTHING. I don't owe you as in NEEDING to get with black women, I don't owe you as only marrying a black woman, and I don't owe you as in standing up for you when you are wrong.

I'm a white male who is married to a South Korean female. I didn't marry my wife because I do not like my own race or any other race, I married my wife because I met her, she is a woman - a very smart, beautiful and amazing women who I fell in love with. That being said, my feelings about our amazing black women go like this. I have known and loved black women my entire life- 56 years. I was raised in a predominately black neighborhood. I joined the Army at age 17 and was assigned to S. Korea- where I met the woman I would be with for the rest of my life. The black women I am acquainted with and work with each and every day are quite educated, clever, down to earth, beautiful, magical and have so much to offer. God bless our black women!

I'm the black woman's biggest supporter; but it's kinda hard to root for them, when they diss me every chance they get. They say they're strong all the time. News flash: A man doesn't want a woman who's always combative and declaring her strength. We want a woman who is feminine and non-conflictive. It would also help if they didn't wear horse hair in their heads, and had bad attitudes. I am 30 plus years old, and I've been trying to stick with black women all my life. Looks like i'm gonna have to go outside my race or outside of African American in general to find peace when it comes to women.

Now, I love my weave, and I will wear it as much as I like; but that doesn't define who I am. I don't think the issue is that there aren't good black women, it's that even good black men aren't checking for good black women. I know plenty of good black woman who can't get a good black man either.

Hello everyone, I love black women. My problem is the majority of black women I meet are interested on if I have a car, my financial assets, have an attitude, concern with private size, can't even except a guy walking by & saying hello. They'll keep walking by without a word. Majority will prefer a rough neck/thug or someone I guess they feel who can manipulate them, & most have kids. I'm a truck driver, Navy vet, raised by both of my parents, no kids & what I get all the time it that I'm handsome , why are you alone. I'll like to know is the generations now, the one before & after losing our self control, spirituality, the ability to to hold on worth keeping. I'm at the point where I watch videos such as this one & get emotional because it's sad. I'm from Brooklyn NY, for those who know about NYC know it's crowded & no room for us to grow mentally among others. I won't give up but I'm 40, I'm really tired. When I was in the service my brother & who I thought was my lady had a sexual relationship. I have stories. I won't give up because I think sisters are beautiful in every sense of the word. Check me at deja by open mic experience. Tell me what's wrong with me

The reason why didn't date black women because the majority of the one I talk to was into thugs! I was even told I was lame because I work, pay my bills, don't hangout in the streets. They said I was white washed! So I was turnt off of black women based on this! They either call me broke because I didn't wear chains and so forth! I had my own place payed my own bill, nice car, no legal records, no kids. I have been at my job for 17 yrs this coming January. I make decent money! But they black women wanted that thug guy. These was the women I was around and ran into! I was even told that I was to nice of a guy! She can't date me and she'll do nothing but use me! Then a this other black guy was like dam bitch you got a fat ass! Whats your name! She smile walk over to him and introduce herself! That made start dating white women! Because talk to her politely!

Black male here: For all of those people who feel personally insulted by the generalizations made on these type of videos, I'd like to share the greatest piece of advice I ever received courtesy of my late grandmother: "If you care about what someone else says about you, you make them your master." Throughout your life you will be slandered based on your gender, race, sexual orientation, interests, political positions, (put your favorite here). By giving any credence to what any person of any ethnicity says to you, you forgot that only your opinion of yourself is what matters the most. By caring about what 'some (race here)males on youtube' or 'some (gender here) idiots you meet in life' are saying is literally like saying "God, or master said this ... I am giving it credibility. It's of the utmost importance to me. Their silly ass opinions matter." I say fuck em. The mind thinks by association. I'm not even going to respond to someone who has prejudices about me based on their experiences with another black male they've met. I don't need them to love me. I love myself. You are going to find someone that loves every part of you as long as you love yourself and live to your fullest potential. You won't even need them then. It will be like an accessory to the full, loving self image that you have already created for yourSELF. Hurt people HURT people.

A man shouldn't compare himself to woman. Why should a woman's strength take away from a man's strength...if anything a strong man, should want someone that enhances his strength, supports him and even carry him if he needs it. This is not a stand off. Let women (all women) be who they are. Sista love yourselves and never feel bad about being strong. Strength is attractive.

I think this title and subject matter is very misleading, the Vast majority of Black men date Black women and we all know and see this everyday, now their maybe a few men that have a racial preference for whatever reason and that's ok, now the true questions is why don't black folks get married any more? Why are we ok with being baby mamas and daddies and that for the most part comes down to our change in priorities and morality. As far as the few Black men who don't date Black women because they have had experiences with Ratchet ones well that's your fault, if you want intelligent educated, healthy Black women then go to College involve your selfish in fitness and you'll meet well educated fit sisters all day.

We're still having these same discussions in 2017..... Smh. And every time we have these discussions the elephant in the room is NEVER addressed and that is the fact that A LOT of black women REJECT good decent black men for shallow/superficial/materialistic reasons..... Not enough money, not enough swag, an old car, not tall enough, not enough muscles, to big, to skinny, to dark skinned, to light skinned, etc. Now there are other factors that go into black men not wanting to date black women but I just laid out the main reason here in this comment. Black women REFUSE to address this whenever this same tired lame discussion is brought up and it's getting old. I feel like black people should just date and be with whoever they want IF they can't find a suitable black mate to be with?

When i was younger, i thought about not dating black females. Here's the thing, they reject good men for bad men. Every time i see a black female she's with some bad boy, then comes back to a good guy crying on him saying i'm sorry will you take me in after she been used up and had kids with the bad guy. While this is true, i did some thinking and i asked a lot of question to my mom and female friends. Females are unstable, their emotions, hair and periods are messing them up. A lot of black females aren't being raise up right. Luckily me i found myself a gf, a fine black young lady. I convince her to stop wearing weaves and all that makeup. She has natural beauty and her hair is perfect. I understand about weaves, my mom cut her dreads and use weaves, and wigs until her hair grew back. Also us guys needs to stop trying to make ourselves seem perfect. Now us guys wants a big booty woman with big breast and a good attitude. Sometimes it's not like that, you have to stop and think about who would make a great wife. Most black females don't have big booty and big breast, some just have a big booty or big breast. We have to stop being immature and picking on these females about their hair. We're not perfect, so that gives us no right to judge females. I understand that SOME black females are bad, but that doesn't mean we have to go picking at them. Trust me if you seen those videos about men gluing hair onto their head, you wouldn't be saying anything. With me i am half Mexican and half black so when i wake up, i really do nothing to my hair because it's curly. Anyway I've seen so many black females reject good men until they realize, good men are rare and sometimes black females will realize they rejected a good guy by getting use up for sex, money or worst by the bad guy. So men stop trying to act perfect cause we're not, and female get it together.

Those women are NOT a representation of my family, and never will be! Ignorance will never represent me, and my family was called "not black" for not behaving ghetto all over America, by BLACK PEOPLE no less! So no... I don't feel that just because I won't support a ghetto mentality that I'm dissing my own family. I don't lump people together as a whole. If you act decent, I'll have words with you. +jbiz979 It would appear I misunderstood your comment? Were you not asserting that black men (in general) love black women, and that those (in general) women ARE our mothers, sisters, grandmothers (therefore a representation of black mothers, sisters, etc)? If you were not asserting that any old black person could represent a whole, then I've misunderstood your comment and I apologize. My point was to make a clear distinction in the fact that JUST because I don't like nor support the actions of all black women and that to act black is not synonymous with acting ghetto. I assumed that you were saying that we (as black men) would support a black woman and her actions regardless of what those actions were simply because we also have black relatives. I was going to soundly disagree with you. My apologies :)

Any man who would say this is not a real man. And, factually, the percentage of black men who date outside their race is estimated to be less than 20%. So we are talking about a very small demographic of black men who embrace self-hatred. This type of story is very counter-productive and embraces conflict rather than dispelling destructive media memes being employed by the dominant society to divide us.

42:35 "we have not made it as a race" I am a BM but! Consider this. If you have 4 islands (a) with 100 White women (b) 100 Chinese women (c) 100 Indian women (d) 100 black women, on each island put 100 black men, isolate for 100 years then go back to each island. Island (a, WW will be modern) (b, CW super advanced) (c, IW hard working) (d, BW ghetto). The biggest contributory factor that makes them all different is the way women select partners & treat their men. (Female Seletion) that cultivates BM over generation is one of Natures Laws that BW chose to ignore or don't understand & WW are not going to help BW to understand. Good or bad Wright or wrong I can't judge but, it would be good if I am proven wrong. If Men are responsible for quantity then BW are responsible for the quality of BM in their culture. Have BW dropped the ball? I can only say men push & women steer. BW have got exactly what they have ordered, if BW want to change then BM will have to change & want to date BW.

I am so disappointed with the discussions in this video. Everything they are saying is so superficial. They are not addressing real issues and the root causes of why so many black men say the things they say about black women here in America. I feel that the real problem in this video are the men in this video. They are not saying the same things that hardcore black men say in videos on KZfaq; therefore, it is a boring, lame-duct conversation. I think the men in this video see these beautiful black women face-to-face and are afraid to say the things that they should say. They are afraid of offending these black women in the video for fear of also offending the men in this video who may be their husbands, boyfriends, or friends, etc. It's either that or the men in this video simply do not the real root causes of why black men say the things that they say about black women here in America.

It's interesting that you say that as your entire post did not say what you say those men needed to say. Black men need to remember this anger we have is often based on the fact that we didn't grow up with fathers. So the mess y'all created has come back full circle. Let's start a conversation on how messed up Black men are lets see how that works. I think black men are some of the most disappointing humans on this planet. Remember when you open your mouth you are speaking of your mother and women in your family. Fix yourselves be men then women will follow. You guys want women to be your slaves and to worship you when you don't deserve to inhabit the same space as us. When you all understand your role then life will change for us as a race. Simple minded idiot get some self respect disrespecting your own where is your loyalty. White women were always higher than us in this society which is part of the problem. Sad smdh

Sounds racist. I don't like this type of talk from any race. I don't reject black women. I accept all women. That means I will date any woman who I feel is best qualified to be with me based on my personal prejudice and discrimination based on what I look for in a woman that I feel would best suit my needs as a man in this world. When I accept all races of women I am not rejecting black women. That is a stupid notion.

The reason: Black Women's REFUSAL to HEAR and EXCEPT that she has SERIOUS flaws in her character!!! You are asking Black Women to date, hook up with, marry her career, financial autonomy, wardrobe, make-up, etc and this is unexceptable and silly. Nathaniel Snipe What i am advocating is that Black women--those who are not closed minded to do so--stop allowing advice like yours to keep them from living the best life they can. And, to stop begging these Black males to "come home" who are exercising their god-given right--choice. Men of ALL shades are attracted to quality Black women which entails her having a life and passions of her own. Anybody readily denying this does NOT care a thing about the well-being of Black women.

kyla berry :p That’s right Klya. Black Women have the right to “want” whomever they choose and generation should have nothing to do it. The hit TV show “ Scandal” is living proof of this. Years ago, it was the TV series “Dallas” followed by “Dynasty.” I feel that Black Women, like all Women, crave Men with money and power. There is another twist with Black Women. Some of you seek to produce offspring with refined hair, lighter skin, and anglo saxton facial features (which may be the dominant reason the TV show “Scandal” is loved by Black Women). Black Men and White Women have, nor had, any problems with any of the TV series I just mentioned. Question Klya: Why did Black Women and White Men go absolutely bananas over a 32 second TV commercial featuring a Black Man and a White Women who produced a beautiful mixed girl??? The commercial in question was sponsored by Cheerios a few months ago. Can you answer this for me Klya???

Interesting talk. I don't feel like I heard enough from the men. There are probably plenty of reasons why Black Men don't date Black Women, but those reasons were not well represented here. I don't blame anyone but the men there for not speaking up much more. However, as usual, women love to talk instead of listen. I couldn't think of a better time for the women in the room to yield more time to listen to what the men have to say. The women were mostly defensive, trying to legitimize dating Black Women while quickly dismissing any negative comments about Black Women. Also, I'm surprised how much time was spent talking about hair. I'm not sure what to make of that... Generally, all I would add is that "I don't date Black Women" is not a problem that Black Men have to fix. I heard these Black Women say many times "Black Men need to do X, Y, and Z." No we don't. We don't have to do shit, actually. It's simply not a problem we are required to solve. Ultimately, Black Men have the freedom to choose, and if Black Women are not the most desirable potential mate on the market, guess what... they're going to be skipped over for someone else, and in today's market, Black Men are not limited to dating within their race. And with the power of the Internet and air travel, Black Men are not geographically limited either. Let me put it this way, the first time I was called a Black Prince was from a white woman, and I'm no stranger to Black Women (up until recently, perhaps).

Im sorry but when 70% of black women are not married its time for them to do an introspection. Stop deflecting and ignoring the elphant in the room. Behaviour! Black women have no clue what men want. Men want a feminine, kind, & submissive woman and most black women are not. Majority have comabive masculine attitudes, they have musltiple baby daddies. Kib Kilo why do black men go around thinking their sh*t don't stink? Don't judge unless u are Perfect and believe me black men are no where near that.

nalo 101 That's my point in what I wrote. My own black mother told me that she hated me. You black women have been telling black men not only that our shi@ stank but that we were the very shi@. I do judge because the almighty told us to do so but if you really read the scriptures you would understand that. This is how I know you're full of bull. At no time did I write that black men were perfect: I'm basically telling you that you as a black woman have attempted to destroy us to be at the table of the white man. It's why black women wear white women's hair over their own.

+ebony89633 finally someone who sees it for what it truly is. All this division between black males and females is systematic and socially engineered. But most black people do not want to educate themselves.

I would love, yes love to have been sitting in this type of up-front meeting, some very good points indeed and thank you posting this, seems too much draft as if there's a door that needs to be closed, but I understand. ps; I'm not against dating out of my race and I love / want an amazing black woman, ps; I'm black ok, yet I've seen a great deal of what's been said about them and I've hated it.

Throughout my tenure in my college, I recalled playing a game with my friends called "who can count the most weave on the campus," and black women will always win on that department, they even dominated in the fake eyelash department as well.
