All the things I'm trying to make space for now in my adult life are things I valued as a child - making things with my hands, creating art and whimsy in my life. I used to write my journal entries on sheets of paper, burn the edges of the pages on the stove and bind them with twine like ancient scrolls LOL. I missed being silly. I missed the joy of admiring something I made. It's so crucial to make time for yourself. Another great video! ❤️

Totally get the dynamic of having multiple passions/interests and feeling "all over the place." But the truth is that it's actually a gift to have different passions and talents...and to be good at all of them 😅

The “tend to your garden” segment hit me the hardest. My garden has been not tended to these past couple of months (feeling tired all the time, low energy, etc) and it’s time for me to start tending to it again. I’m committed to this journey for a year!

Two years later I had done all that work and only had 70 subs... Fast forward to April of this year. My grand daughter was born. I posted one video named we got a baby for Easter 🐣. Ever since my channel has been growing. I'm at 343 subs. I thought I was Failure and would never grow... Part of me still wants to think well you only have 343 subs, that's not that major. "Most of us are so fixated on the trees that we miss the sprouts growing from the ground" I feel like modern time today resonates with this statement, but eventually time will tell and time will reveal in its own way the direction we have to go. Because whats aggravating is watching the same tree everyone else is watching, and instead we look to not see what being payed so much attention to. Doesn't mean we look away, we just pay alittle more closer attention to what matters more. We can be looking in the same direction but doesnt mean im. Looking at what your looking at 🤓 Sometimes it takes for tgis moment to redirect or readjust our focus. As if lining everyone up to see the same picture but what stands out to you? What speaks to you? What do you like? The tree is only the ending, the sprout are the beginning, and what's in between is all its gonna take to becoming as content as this big tree.

I’m preparing for back to back surgeries on both knees which will enable me to walk with ease after years of limited mobility. During my recovery and in between rehab sessions I will work on releasing myself from the self-imposed restrictions that has disabled me for far too long and begin to live that “Hippie” life I’ve longingly desired. first part changed my life - I am about to enroll in a new college, been in college since 2016, did a bunch of stuff in-between like serve a 1.5 year religious mission, took a year off to transfer to a college to be near my spouse who got back into his dream university after dropping out for me to spend time with me at my college and marry me, its been a messssss, an overall stress free relaxing mess tho... but now that im going to his same dream college (UCSD) I decided I am going to TRY FOR 1 YEAR !!! JUST make it a year of trying till July 2023.

Hi Alecia. I am feeling super stuck in my city. I have safety here but it is stifling to me for some reason. I could go to another city but would need to support myself, probably by doing some kind of kitchen work etc....I want this to be a special year for me, a year that is alive again (the past four years were kind of naaah). When I hear you speaking about what you like doing, it resonates: photography, documentary, singing, writing, yes....all of these things are things I want to do. But I find it very hard to just get started (perfectionism....yeah). It's like where to get started? I know, I know....procrastination....and yet.....Yes! I want community, I want freedom, I want joy....but yeah, at the same time I have my issues.....trauma that needs to heal etc....You are an inspiration to me for sure. Trying to take in your words and to let it carry me forward.

Great video! This video came to me at a time where I was asking God should "I change careers". I've been working in a job that just drains me, it's so unfulfilled, and beyond toxic for more than 15 years. I have a potential job off in a completely different industry but I'm doubting myself. All I know is that crazy toxic work environment that I currently have and I'm just scared that I may not do a goo job with this new one. Listening to you just made me realize that I am good enough. If others can see it in me then I should see it within myself too. I may not know everything about this new industry but I can definitely learn along the way and be the best that I can. Thank you!

I got a divorce, so people shame me and was very negative about it. The whole process was very toxic when it came to other people. I free myself from other people's expectations. As far as what I want for myself and my growth after my divorce is for me and good for me. One thing about the truth some people have control issues as far as me I know the puzzle I'm working on for me big picture of my life needs not the opinions of others. I love a beautiful quote that says, " When writing the story of your life, make sure your holding the pen in your hand. 🙏🦋❤️ I made up my mind that I don't want to live the rest of my life in the USA I want to move to another country. You said it beautiful lady. " I don't want to live my life in a box"! More importantly I refuse to live in the box of others. May ever good, beautiful and wonderful thing find you and keep you. You are a gifted woman you have alot of passion when talking. I too have a passionate heart on alot of topics in life for people. It's time to pour good onto myself and like you turn around and offer the positive things back to those around me.
