SO MANY TACOS! Houston, Texas is home to some famous tacos and famous food trucks. Today we are checking out some queso birria (spicy beef tacos and cheesy tacos) in this massive taco challenge! We had to complete 25 Street tacos also known as the taco Tuesday size, in order to get the meal for free! The beef is stewed or braised, with a large variety of different Mexican spices and served with some classic, Mexican sauces, and additional toppings, such as delicious pickled onions, and of course the famous consume! These are also known as dippy tacos, or dipping tacos, and this had some good she making it a spicy challenge! can we complete this big taco challenge? Or will this huge man versus food challenge beat us?

While I mean everything I say about the food in the video, **I would not and will not support this business** . As per an agreement with the restaurant, they were to cover my travel to the area for me to do the video. Day of, they said they would send this to me soon. This never happened... After months of attempts (Filmed Oct 2022) and false promises they eventually stopped responding to me. I wish the best to these people and their business; however, I would not recommend them for their dishonest practice.

Man. That sucks and that’s bad business practices. They don’t understand what a good recommendation from a guy with your status can do for their business. There is a pizza place by me that had another food challenger appear and they set him up and took a huge hit financially that day. However with all the views it received they are so much better for it.

2 dollar taco tuesday is always freaking great. Those look great. Love your vids Joel. Always making my mouth water lol. My dad would visit Houston often since he worked for Chevron-Texaco at the time and I'd love tagging along with him - mostly for the food. It's funny because when we came back to Cali, he would complain that his frequent visits were making him gain weight lol. I think that's a fine trade off for some awesome Texan food.

Lime on crunchy tacos soaks into the tortillas and overpowers the rest of the flavors bro. (Which I happen to love). I recommend it on street tacos and big burritos. Use just a touch if you’re not a fan of the sourness. But it does kick it up a notch. Some places use lemon or lime in their salsa or pico de gallo too so maybe you won’t need the extra. I like that you wanna taste the food how it was served also. “Compliments to the Chef”

@Slamz32 not really I'm just not a taco lover too messy you can never take a bite without it crumbling and exploding and just eating the garnishes off ths plate with a fork defeats the purpose of tacos easy quick snack tortilla tacos aren't the same and yes I've tried warming up the shells first they still explode and taco bell makes the nastiest tacos on earth there's a good taco place here in ottawa on Elgin called El Camino but they're tiny and not cheap but you get what you pay for the best tacos around if you like tacos and are in ottawa canada you have too try them

Lime provides the acid to help cut through the fats just like the pickled onion. Plus the tart flavor adds an element of freshness that I enjoy. But hey, if you don't like them, more for me? Still much respect for your craft and style, cheers!

@@JoelHansen I agree. The pickled red onions do the same thing but in a different way. The lime is the acidity you want to break up a heavy bite, but you can get that from salsa, or pickled red onions (my favorite as well), but it's a seriously solid option to brighten up an otherwise heavy bite with a delicious citrus note on the back of it. I would also argue the salsa should be spicy as heck, but with lots of salsa options eating that many. There are just so many taco styles and none are right are wrong, but you like what you like.

LOL you just said what I tried to explain about it cutting the richness. I need the raw onion too it adds a nice punch and the cilantro for the herbaceousness then a salsa. Never tried this style, but it looks delicious. Toppings after that are personal preference. I would eat about 1 or 2 tops lol...

Hey Joel, another nice post. Too bad for the business's unsavory practices. NOW...I'm glad you used some of the lime on the tacos. I know you said you're not necessarily a big lime fan, but I grew up 30 miles from the Mexican border. Lime or lemon was a thing! If I was eating those tacos there wouldn't have been one limeless taco. As well, yes I'm a salsa/flavoring guy, my tacos would've had multiple dips in those condiments. Glad you dusted off most of the pickled onions too. All my tacos would've been covered in them. Nevertheless, well done! You've once again made me hungry...
