I would have gone for Andrew Robertson. He is settled in the area, knows the club, knows the league, knows what it means to play for the badge, speaks English fluently and has played for the former clubs of United's greatest managers. Lastly, he has played with Harry and has a rapport with him.

As a united fan, the main reason Liverpool got them successful next to Klopp is their smart scouting system' an eye to get a young talent for less than 40 mil then develop them to superstars! they did that with Robertson, mane, Salah, Diaz, Henderson. Malacia signing will be a good start in that same direction for ten hag,

Feels like us going after lesser big names, on paper, is refreshing. Instead of the Pogbas of the world, we've gotten 2 very good, underrated players in Malacia and Eriksen. Players with hunger who don't come into the club expecting a red carpet. De Jong, though gonna be expensive, falls into that category too.

Really good intelligent player, we need energetic fullbacks that can run up and down and put crosses in the box, Shaw after the leg break always played cautious, and AWB seems to be all defensive.

One thing I notice about him is that he doesn’t go down easily. Stays on the ball and seems like even when he is beat he tries to close on the ball. Manchester United hasn’t had effort like that in years.

Every big signing we've made this past decade has flopped mostly, ibra had his moments and so did Juan etc... But utd had an uncanny ability to sign these other players back when fergie was in charge and they all went on to absolutely dominate the prem and European football.
