I’m sure there’s a ghost immobiliser on it. It usually does that. If you start the car without putting in the secret code it will automatically turn off when you try and put it into drive or reverse!

I think you overpayed on this BMW M2 competition by £5000 at £10000 its worth the gamble but £15000 is too expensive for all the damage and missing keys etc, you are going to get stung with the M tax on the parts. Copart should allow people to view vehicles in person we aren't in Covid now but they won't allow viewings cause people would pay less when they can see all the damage that can't be seen on the photos. I think its got an AutoWatch Ghost immobiliser fitted cause my car does the exact same thing if you don't put the access code in.

M2s are always a car i have wanted, i nearly bought a damaged on =e a couple weeks ago, but the parts especially are very expensive, especially the headlights as you mentioned and it would have needed 2, so i bought a 140i instead. DEE you need to get yourself a large plastic mixing tray so that when you cut the pipes or there’s a leak on the engine, it will catch everything and will not go on the floor They come in 1 m x 1 m square no on the floor

It could be a broken brake sensor not working so won’t let you select gear as it doesn’t receive signal that your foot is on the brake what codes have you got coming up?

I had to take my Intake off just to have my ecu bench unlocked at 6am in dewsbury without fully taking the charge cooler off 😂 was fuming then put it all together and flashed bootmod in the car park and drove home

its a ghost immobilizer the car will start but when u put it into gear it will cut the power u need a pass key
