Yes. But you should remember that this saying means enjoying your life through meaningful connections and actions.
The girls from these two stories completely misinterpreted this notion.
Amelia was jumping from one rich man to another. She wanted to secure a wealthy life for herself so she could do whatever she wanted. Yet, she missed out on the idea of making life worth living.
And Kira, wanting to encourage her husband to spend more time together, convinced him that he had a terminal illness. In Kira’s mind, if her spouse’s time was limited, he’d want to be with her day and night.
Needless to say, the girl’s approach to happiness was misguided.
But, in the end, did it backfire or work out for them?

For the first story the husband help his wife see things in a different light and the wife chose to save him to spend more time with him, and for the second story the wife lost her husband thanks to her deceit and lies plus she has no one to blame but herself and there's no coming back from that reality ever.

In real life some married couple's age are gap in between while others are the same age or a little bit older/younger than the other but they still do love each oter, but this woman doesn't understand that because she only wanted to marry a rich old man👴just so he can died from an old age and inhert the money for herself. Which really disgust me because she had taken advantage toward her late husband's love for her selfish goal and now she's planning to repeat this all over again but luckily she didn't get that far of finding another rich old man👴after she met John which made her realise that some things are more important than money.

If you really love and care for the person dearly when it comes to something serious like their healthy or life threatning then you should really been honest with them. Because if you don't then there would be serious consequences to the person's action like Walter's wife did as she hasn't told him the truth but somehow Walter has his suspicious all along and why he decided to leave her. They both made a good point about people that you don't know but some people that you though you know very well turn out to be wrong, I though Walter's wife was going to bust into tears at the end of the story but she didn't and judging from face she looks really annoyed that he's leaving her for another woman who turn out to be his favourite actress. I guess she refuse to acknowledge all her wrong doing and now her friends are going to hate for this.
