Wait... so the mother is 50 and the son fixed her up with someone 90 years old!? So he is okay with her being with someone almost double her age older but not double her age younger? With that age gap, he shouldn't see a difference. He should have noticed how Harold was talking negatively to his mother and how Caleb was lovely to his mother. I really enjoyed this story. Very beautiful.

He was blinded by money. The son knew Harold was loaded and didn't hear what his intentions were. Nor that the son cared at the time. He was only concerned about making his mom marry someone closer to her age. It took seeing her depression over losing Caleb and not seeing her grandchildren, for the son to understand that he was no better in banning his mom from who she loved. He brought Caleb back and apologized for his terrible behavior.

Well too son's and some daughter's mother's aren't supposed to be sexual Being's they are sacred vessel's they aren't supposed too have desires after a certain age and for other grown children there mother's are supposed to loathe Sex because the kids father was no Good in bed think of the movie Because I Said So!

In real life some married couple's age are gap in between while others are the same age or a little bit older/younger than the other but they still do love each other just like Meredith and Caleb. Meredith's son have no right to interfer with his mother's choice even though he only wanted make his mother to happy again since his father passed away but he can't force his mother to be in a relationship/marry to someone who she never really in love with or close to her age like Harold. Sometimes the only way for a person to be able to find happiness and true love is on their own without any help from friends and family just like Meredith did.
