I fell in love with the Begode T4 with a knobby tire. Is it better than the Master?

Spent a 2 day camping trip getting a feel for the T4 and on these trails I found myself grabbing it over the Master. Is it better? I'd say for certain circumstances it may be. Is it more fun? On these trails, HELL YEAH!!!!

I have this tire already on the way. I think a lot of people are going to come to the same conclusion as you about the worthiness of the T4. A heavier, larger tired wheel just cannot be as nimble as the T4 on tight trails. The T4 seems to be a perfect technical trail suspension wheel with enough power to be happy with.

As a Master rider, NO 😌. If you know about military planes it's like comparing an F22 Raptor to the F35. F22 is the world's best standalone F35 is the world's best mass production Both wheels are awesome and I'm extremely biased on this one 😂🤣 I've never ridden the T4. I bet you're right.

The Master is still my favorite but the T4 definitely proved itself over the weekend.. this is because I'm a speed freak and the Master satisfies my speed fix. But I can see a lot of people who aren't speed freaks gravitating to the T4. I see why they would. It's crazy fun

wonderfull Video , this Landscape .... wow !!!! Need a Greencard :-))) All what you say ->100% right . I changed to a knobby and at first i hate it ... adjust the psi up and down . I was not confident with it at all ... but after some miles it became ok . i learned to drive this tire , it was total different to the Street Tire .... but at least i love it ... and the best @the end .... this wicked sound !!!! Well said, anything new on an EUC can be really awkward at first. You definitely have to allow you body to adjust before making a decision.. something like a tire change can make it feel like a completely different wheel.

@@euc_bbq and this could be scarry in some "hot" Situations , because it feels and react total different , you know it and if you have luck you manage the situation and get back the full controll and smoothness . The knobby scared me pretty much , because he s not riding really stable , you can tilt the Wheel little left or a little to the right and ride so on each side ... but straight forward... the street tire corners at this point . So at first WTF Sit. : was pretty fast and their was a corner, the knobby feels in slow speed very nimble , but in high speed he is like A fucking Moto Guzzi Le Man's .... it won't corner holy shit .... so I was forced to react quick and make right decisions, at this point I was uncomfortable again and got new knowledge, theirs fucking everything change with one tire . New Wheel And that need s the Muscle Memory, some extra miles behavior.... and than digital Throtle Mode : on & off ;-)))

Make sure you check into motor recalls - rumor is up that the T4 needs the same core swap that the S22 does, a lot of the motor parts are made in the same factories and designed by the same people; it's supposed to require the same fixes as the S22 motor because they're the same design/manufacturing flaws, even though they're vastly different in output.

I've addressed this in previous videos. My motor is fine.

Since you ride multiple wheels, are you comfortable jumping around from one to the next, or is there an adjustment period each time you switch? I ask because I had an S18 that I was very comfortable on, but just bought a T4 for all the obvious reasons. Love the way it rides but its definitely not yet an extension of my body like the S18. I just wonder if by the time it is I’ll be able to be super comfortable on both, or will eventually just be comfy on the T4. I plan to find out, but it will take me a few weeks if not months before I have enough trail miles under my belt.

same transition here. 1000 miles on s18 then racked up 800 miles on my T4. I am getting one with it but the s18 was a much lighter wheel. Some obstacles were easier to surmount on the s18 than with t4. But my T4 has better range and more torque than s18.

Thanks. Aside from getting the tire on the rim part, how difficult was disassembly and re-assembly of the wheel for a tire change? I replaced a tire on a V11 and at least the first time, it was a time-consuming job.
@euc_bbq
@euc_bbq Жыл бұрын
Since disassembly is identical to the Master I can change a tire out in about 20min on the T4

What PSI are you running on the MMG Tire? I ran the tire on my V12HS until I cracked my rim, but I only had it at 35 PSI, I regret not putting it at 40 PSI (normally run 40+ on all my other wheels).
@euc_bbq
@euc_bbq Жыл бұрын
Since I run 48psi in the Master I put 42psi in the MMG because I'm hoping the greater suspension travel of the T4 can make up for less psi in the tire.

I highly recommend it. This wheel is so fun. But yeah definitely run higher psi. The suspension allows you to run it high and not have a rough ride.

Thanks BBQ, like Kaiu I run the MMG on my V12HS, was thinking of taking it off to test on the T4, it’s definitely happening now, this weekend. I run the MMG at 25 on the V12, and I only ever ride off road, never had any issues, it’s got such stiff side walls I recon that adds about 10 psi of rim protection, it handles heaps better at lower psi. I love what you said about the need to get to know your wheel, tonight I rode my S22 for about the 5th time, I’m starting to really like it, especially now I have the suspension at the highest setting, I can’t wait to get the rollers into the sliders, will turn it into a real suspension wheel. I know lots of people don’t like to be locked in with tight pads, I find the tighter the better especially on your toes, it helps so much with fast response on tight spots and significant angle change in the middle of a very sharp corner on MTB tracks. Takes some getting used to, but a bit like skiing, not many skiers stand on the planks without bindings holding them on tight.

@@scottmorris7320 I agree 100%, my feet are so locked in I'm the only one who can fit a foot under my pads
