That lag simulator is super helpful. I wish someone had explained this to me when I started playing and had 80-130 ping every game. Going down to sub-50 ping was game changing and boosted me an entire division (silver to gold) just from mechanics since I play enchanters and mages

This when u know neace is a good coach..notices big issue in a client's first game..game 2 he has all the solutions. Client had bad ping..right away he had 2 champs for each lane and u could already see improvement

I discovered how hard I suck in terms of laning + map awareness etc. Every Neace coaching video I watched got me feeling like ,,wow people, doing well can't be that hard", after the reality check I understand them more and more xD

Another important thing for high ping players is to use smartcast on everything. You're already bleeding frames everywhere because of your ping, you can't afford to add more delay by needing more inputs like that. It's especially true on things like Rammus taunt, that you want to spam, as spamming 2 consecutive different inputs is way worse than 1 single input (for exemple if you're not synced properly and the first possible frame starts on a Click Click E Click sequence, you just did 4 inputs instead of 1).

With my old ping, if I was lucky to have 100 ping as my lowest. I always thought I was shit and hard stuck but now with a good consistent ping I feel so much better playing league.

I honestly don't blame this dude playing like this. Playing on high ping feels very buggy. (I play on 250 ping) it's the main reason I dropped adc I can kite but playing on ping like that ain't consistent. The videos you put out really help me counter this disadvantage though.

UK Wi-Fi can be 150-250 some times but it's *usually* 25-60 and its so painful when it hits 60, on a 150-250 night I feel like I'm playing with 15 years of delay as I Q and then nothing happens for at least a half second. Also the "150ms ping" is not 150ms behind, it's an average over a second or two if your ping is 500ms and then 20ms within the average window your average will be 260ms so it's actually worse than you think. I'm just very thankful it's usually below 40 lmao

Used to play on a craptop with mobile hotspot because I lived in a hotel with garbage net. League made for a great escape while I was homeless and working a dead end job in a desperate attempt to not be homeless. (Also traded work for room and board at the hotel). 120-140 ping was normal. 80 was a good day. Now, I play on 20-30 ping. I don't think I could go back to that high of ping.

Lowest I've ever played at is 182ms. All I can play is support. Can't farm, can't kite. But it's a fun game with friends for me now.

this reminds me when I started playing I did basically the entire climb to level 30 at 300ms ping, never realizing there's anything wrong with it. When I "fixed it" to 120ms it felt like a completely different game. I've since then moved and am now getting 30-50ms and it's once again a different game

I think it would've helped to tell this guy a bit more about Rammus's kit, he kept using Q while he was mid W and canceling it during clears and dragons and stuff and he didn't know *why* you stack armor on Rammus regardless of enemy team comp. He also never used W recast to cancel, although there weren't a ton of moments where this was an issue because it had usually pretty much run out anyway or he had Q up again. His Rammus mechanics were pretty detrimental to the way the game went (and honestly kind of horrifying to watch in the beginning lol), and while part of it is just that he hasn't played the champ before, it would help him to know everything the champ actually does. He had numerous moments that I thought were just as silly with his abilities as that 28:15 Jhin R. He did seem to figure out halfway through the match that just staying in W while you're fighting something is good, and he in general got much better mechanically over the course of the game. If you're here in the comments Mr. Client Dude, not flaming you or anything even simple champs like Garen or Rammus have combos you can easily ruin if you don't know them/don't know their kit, I'd highly recommend looking at champ kits on the LoL fandom wiki site because it gives all ability scaling and descriptions, and often lists either little bugs or quirks of abilities too.

Oh yeah... I remember playing on NA before we had an OCE server. It was just an unspoken rule you didn't play Xerath ... Oriana ... LB ... Anivia ... Vayne etc anyone that required tight precise *exact* movement or reactions. Once we got our own server, it was like the champ pool increased by 30% overnight and finally we could fucking PLAY! Good times, bad times and best of times!

Ping/lag section is a bit misleading. 125 ms is round-trip ping not single direction. Therefore its not accurate to double it in whatever scenario/explanation. Its already doubled in that sense.

he mentioned Rammus , and I mained him long time ago for that exact reason , the nearest server is EUNE and I have 100 ms at best. the best I reached is Gold 4 and I know that if I moved to lower MS location I'll be shredding the Rift like Faker. I have 1.5 M Pts with Rammus , and also I play Nocturn as my 2nd option. I wish If Riot match people with the same ping category to keep it fair, because playing with 30 ms players while my ping is 110 ms is unfair.

What north-americans think of separating the server in NA1 and NA2, maybe there aren't enough players? Latin America is separated in 3 servers LA North, LA South and Brazil. I play at around 20ms in Rio and the servers aren't even in my state.

Satellite internet will always have the highest ping because the data has to go up to fucking space and back. He just needs to find a new video game honestly. My parents have satellite internet still and it is so horrible.

I get where he was going - while explaining the latency. There is some truth in that - but it's not an accurate explanation. It's not the coding in his case... his high latency (either bad internet connection or he's to far away from the server) - is still visible. The game feels rather smooth - cause he's on a Good PC as in 200+ FPS. LoL does have a coding trick - that can mimic a low latency even on a PC with higher latency - as in "Movement Prediction". If you thick that option - your game won't be in sync with your internet speed - but a low ping (basically moving and acting/reacting as if you have a low ping). Tho, it won't feel that smooth anymore - especially if you have a bad internet connection. Instead it feels somehow - "forced" - because it is. And that shows even on the other side (for the other players running at low ping) - where your character will lack the smooth movement of all the other chars (running at low ping). Last but not least, yes... you're clearly at a disadvantage. And yet, if you've always played at high ping - your brain will adapt - and thus, you'll move far better than someone who's used to playing at low ping - switching to high ping (for them the handicap can be quite noticeable).

Sion will fit all of those roles as well. I dont see you recommending sion but that champion is gigachad levels of simple to play. Not only that but he infinitely scales and can't be kited due to ult. I'd like to see your take on why you dont recommend Sion at all. He can fit every single role.

I play wildrift on 100-200 ping, my highest win rate is on tanks with no important skill shots or none whatsoever. Rengar is my favorite champ but goddam I’m stuck at 50% winrate because I’m always missing out on 100+ hp on his W heal and landing his E is hard. And so many times it looks like I should be able to jump from a bush but i don’t. Win rate on every tank, besides thresh, is 60+ simply because of the disadvantage of ping. For thresh that hook is a fucking nightmare with the cast time, plus in WR he turns into the cast direction so it easy as fuck to dodge. tank jungler is easy as pie, ironically, rammus is also one of my favorites especially into auto attack based champs. That ping is also why I don’t try PC, I feel like there are a lot more ultra try hards in pc ranked. The only issue with jungle is smite battles with tanks and high ping are an absolute nightmare. So tank Nunu is an option in that case because of hi Q.

i always found it very interesting how champs like evelynn and rengar have consistently super low winrates in low elos. and this is probably why, invisibility does nothing if your opponent can act before you anyway because you have a 1 second delay on every input, assuming most low elo players play on super high ping which is probably true. in my opinion this is the number one reason why people are stuck in low elo forever and unless they fix their set up there is pretty much nothing they can do about it, they can get coaching 24/7, it doesnt matter if they play on high ping on low fps. and people like neace are thinking that these people are mentally disabled or something, this is the first time he actually payed attention to whats going on.
