you realize that most of the 'work' video is almost a year old, and pieced together from colin's stack and his own clips- what do you think ten minutes of fresh work video in the whole thing?? whats your thought on his recent video descriptions about flaming and throwing under the bus the local yard crew? was that fun? what about when he asked advice from Parlay AND FREEDOM, about his stringer and bulkhead repair quality, trying to get them to say his 'worker' had gone light on the resins?- and nobody would confirm him, but Peter said you could do more.., and then Colin, said ya great.. and walked off the boat, and david said, yeah! colin said it was cool!' did you like that? was that informative? im glad neither peter, nor colin, said, 'yeah yer yard workers did a shit job.' that wouldve both busted the yard (which is small), and sent david into a manic whirlwind of downward spiral and probably sacrificed his families well-being. How would that have felt? Would David have thrown the yard under the bus or said- I should have been onsite working? Thoughts on character?

Carlos was a blessing. I’ve talked to him in passing for months. Had no idea he was such a hard worker and fast learner. He’s literally grown into a pro fiberglasser over the months we worked together day and night.

OTOH, plucky is battlehardened and knows deepwater vessels. he is conservative even vs colin. he has far more experience riding dead yacths back to coast without ending up in the liferaft or dinghy. Plucky is legend, Colin is good getting better. you must be a noob/fanboy. read various encounters from The Golden Globe race. all the folks in this story are highlighted there. David turns out DEAD, never to be found. Once youll read youll figure out who plays the other characters.

Legend is frivolously used out of context, often on KZfaq. Plukky started working on Long Reef around 2010 to 2016 (approximate dates) and started his channel in 2015. His story is well documented as a former lawyer/mechanical engineer, individual sole trader, saving money to sail; his hitting a reef off the Kimberley, destroying and abandoning the Cat in 2018, a failed marriage, lightning damage to Freedom, running a Kickstarter campaign for the Elcano, etc. Colin, as you know, is a practicing super-yacht engineer ( star of a popular tv show) who bought the hurricane-damaged Parlay and started his channel in 2018, completely reviving Parlay not once but twice. Similar paths, similar experiences with completely different outcomes. I follow both entertaining channels. It is possible to like both of these men and their stories while realizing, IMHO, that one's knowledge is superior, in areas, to the other. And that is okay. Harmony is possible. 🤝

the lagoon repair kit is great, but only for the bent bulkheads. they don't address the cracked tabbing that happens and also the bent beam. People are inspecting the bulkheads only so lagoon made a kit for the bulkheads only. if you get a fixer upper 450, i got a guy for you...carlos can probably do the whole job himself now!

@@mary_shih We used to call them smokers hihihi. The finishers were the worst ones with the Jell coat repairs, mix it up in a plastic cup, you can't hold it for long though unless you have fireproof hands.
