I've learned some new combos and strategies with Ed to bring him up to master rank. While his defense and antiairs seem a bit weak, his flicker/snatcher and Level 2 super might be able to make up for it.
Ed, the troubled protégé will prove he's no longer a pawn when he enters Fighting Ground, World Tour, and the Battle Hub on February 27.
With psycho power imbued within, Ed pummels enemies with his mastery of boxing.
Owners of the Year 1 Character Pass, Ultimate Pass, Deluxe Edition, or Ultimate Edition will automatically get access to Ed when he unlocks.
Street Fighter 6 is now available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.

Fun fact for those who dont know. They changed the name to psycho flicker because the move is an extension of the hitman style of boxing in which the type of jab typically used in the stance is called a flicker jab. Those flicker jabs are ehat Ed is using with his kick buttons and his psycho flicker

5:48 (reacting to DI): I was watching the recent TNS 9 tournament and Justin Wong was commentating (around the 40-minute mark) how it seems like the top players are regressing in their ability to react to DI these days since they have to split their minds to react to other stuff like Drive Rush etc and don't have as much mental capacity to handle DI as before, which I thought was kind of interesting.

I think Ed's defense is actually a lot better than people realize, and it has to do with how godlike his 2LK is. 5 framer that has about the same range as shoto 5LKs but can CH link into itself and can route into M.DP for real strike throw oki midscreen. Having a massive hit confirmable 5 framer to check people trying to mash reversal 2MKs to stuff shimmy is really strong for abare imo. Also the short range on his 5LP can be a blessing in disguise when you're space trapping people for buffered cancel whiff punishes (any CH 5LP/2LK can route into H Blitz for easy oki).

there have been DP shortcuts since SF4. you can do down+forward, Down and down+forward constantly, as long as you end in down forward and punch, you get DP.

Ed in V was kinda cringe tbh, but in VI His design is a lot better, bot visually and gameplay-wise, He feels like a cool character now but He's still different from Rog and Dudley
