Nintendo had a dedicated Direct to the Super Nintendo World park. I would not be surprised if Nintendo did a 10 minute Direct later in the year that revealed the name of the movie and a trailer.

This is definitely possible, but considering how the Mario Movie was a big boy production instead of the usual Illumination project, its possible for the trailer to come out in March and how even Miyamoto said that the movie just needs polishing now, so a March release date isn't too much of a crazy thing to assume also March 10 would be an amazing release date edit: im sorry for being a false prophet

Since the movie got delayed from Christmas 2022 to Easter 2023 I can tell you that a 30 second trailer should come in September 2022 and a 2 minute, 30 second trailer should come in October 2022.

Since the Mario movie was delayed, I assume that it's first trailer will probably premiere at a September 2022 Nintendo Direct, and it's final trailer will premiere at a February 2023 Nintendo Direct.

The funny thing is that the thumbnail shows an arrow ALMOST pointing to April 7. It's the 2022 calendar, not the 2023 calendar, but still almost a coincidence, as it will now come out April 7, 2023.

EDIT: So the trailer didn’t release August 3. The trailer could drop any day at this point. Seeing as it was likely that the trailer would have dropped in June if there wasn’t a delay, and that June is two months ahead of April, we could expect the Mario movie trailer to release sometime between September and November. I think September 13 is a likely date since that was the release date of the original Super Mario Bros. game for the NES. EDIT 2: Trailer confirmed for October 6 for New York Comic Con!
