Just so everyone is aware, combo blows doesn’t get the full damage boost from spirit synthos (it’s a 1.3x increase instead of a 2.65x). Caliban’s with liar’s is better for the build mastics is currently proposing and better neutral game with combo blows in general. With the Caliban’s and Synthos roll, you’re far better off running threaded spike and learning the timing to catch it. You get basically a full melee refund of a group of three enemies as long as you catch it, AND your get to take advantage of the full synthos buff to your charged melee. Since the class item came out I have been hunting Caliban Liars so much that I never even got one with Caliban to drop until last night out of maybe 40-50 pulls in totality. Last night I got the Caliban/Liars combo and NGL it felt pretty nice.

My third ever roll was Caliban's and synthoceps. If I get Caliban's and liars then great but I am honestly happy with my current roll lol. Especially because Synthoceps makes it easier to build up the initial combination blow stack AND, how you said in the video, it buff the grapple melee and ignitions. It is only a 30% damage buff while combination blow is active but you get the full 160% on the first melee and the grapple melee. I would still definitely take liars but synthoceps, in my opinion, is just as good as the ladder. I believe that is still an amazing roll you got there, and it is my personal favorite roll!

I finally got this too and as cool as the explosions are, I think I might use a Galanor + Syntho combo. I've noticed that with tether and with the arc super you get 50% back almost each time. The Arc one was surprisingly more consistent even on a single boss while tether required several ads. But still, I feel that high super up time is going to be much more useful for me when doing something like a solo or speedrun of Warlords.

Caliban and Synthoceps was my first one that I got on the first day of the dungeon. And I havent taken it off yet. Use it with Threaded spike and it destroys rooms.

Caliban's + Syntho was my first drop ever. I've yet to actually use it sadly lol I had this mindset that Calibans = bad because it will kill all the enemies, which is a weird problem to have. I mainly like to drop Stylish Executioner for Threaded Specter to make up for the lacking amount of Darkness damage.

There’s also a fragment that gives health on melee kills and also seeing as you’re constantly dodging why not the strand decoy with stylish execution

What i've found works really well with this build is facet or ruin, facet of protection, facet of courage, facet of blessing and facet of purpose for this season otherwise facet of dawn

I have this build with very similar setups, but I’m using a galinor/wormhusk class item. I always have survivability with worm husk, and I get half of my storms edge super back every time I use it. It’s nice for traversal and everything too. For long range I have the Non-denouement crafted with volt shot so I have clear with it too, and I stay with invisible with killing jolted enemies. I am missing a lot of melee damage without liars or synthoceps though

Incorporate the "Facet of Bravery" into your playstyle for a powerful and continuous combat flow. Just got this and I realized if you have threaded specter on and dodge right after your powered melee, calibans will blow up your specter and automatically create threadlings

I've not messed around with Exotic Class Items yet but I've been messing around a bit with my favourite Stasis Renewal Grasps Build to slot in Prismatic. Believe it or not! It's more of a long range, non punchy take advantage of Slow, Freeze, Shatter & a couple Light Abilities mixed in for good measure! Snowglobes + Renewals Smoke Bomb, Stylish Executioner, Threaded Spectre or Freeze Dodge (Darkness option!) Using Wicked Implement w/Catalyst Indebted Kindness w/Voltshot Your choice of Heavy but I've been using an Auto-Loading x Vorpal Hothead (to use less mods!) Super is kinda dependent on what you're doing. Silence & Squall works for add clear + adds the Slow/Freeze debuff also. You can also use Golden Gun as it's a Light Super & will do bonus damage as you'll be applying the slow/freeze A LOT. You can stay fairly safe, throw your Snowglobe at higher health enemies, you can use you slow dodge or threaded spectre if any trash adds rush you. Take a couple shots with Wicked Implement & You'll slow or freeze them, then chuck your smoke bomb = big boom! IF it doesnt kill? They'll be weakened from it. Depending on the enemy type, you can use Indebted Kindness to apply Voltshot, then use the Snowglobe, Smoke Bomb, Wicked Implement combo to chunk them down & spread the Voltshot Jolt around.

I run facet of blessing over purpose for this build. I think the immediate heal is better than the extra dr from frost armor or overshield especially considering you're invis most of the time

Innermost instead of calibans may be less boomy but you become a grappling machine.

I think the best replacement option for Facet of Dawn would be the fragment that increases ability damage against targets afflicted with a Darkness debuff (I don't remember what that one is called). Since almost everything within punching distance is going to be slowed by your dodge, you can get even more damage on a single target. It wouldn't buff the ignition damage, but if you want to lean in as hard as you can to the one-punch fantasy then I think that's the way to go haha This build looks super fun, but it really does feel weird to have the Hunters be the ones with the best melee-focused build instead of Titans.

The explosion from the first hit seems like it might make it harder to stack combination blow on weak mobs first?

Took a stroll in The Landing opening chests before logging off last night, and this roll dropped for me. Can't wait to try it out. Edit: Also, with syntho you can now use a one-two punch shotgun again.

I have been using this exact build with regular Liar's Handshake, I still need to get the Class Item for my Hunter. While I see the benefit of using Synthos, I prefer the caliban and Liar's combo if I can get one as I prefer to use Silence and Squall instead of Tether.

Drop the invisibility and go for Threaded Specter. Higher uptime, better for survivability, and will kill anything not in range of the ignition.

After watching this video i landed a caliban+ syntho and then a couple runs later landed caliban + liars 😮 so happy.

I've actually been using the same build from the beginning due to those being the only fragments i had at the time...However, Ive been using different weapons. Bait & Switch Supremacy, Dragon's Breath for my heavy ans i switch between Epochal Integration and Calus Mini-Tool based on the event I'm on... And I TOTALLY agree about it being so much fun and tons of damage plus creates plenty of orbs for my Fireteam...

One thing with these cloaks is you can get some insane builds but it's not OP because in higher tier it's hard to even keep that ish going.

Instead of Grapple, I use the Stasis Grenade. Dodge, Meele and grenade. They froze, melee them and dead instantly.

I haven’t gotten pair caliban but I did get star eater caliban and I tested it out in the deep stone raid and that shit is awesome for raiding or like endgame. I ran threaded spike to nuke ads while star eater is juicing up your super. I don’t know if it works with still hunt though since I did switch to golden gun night hawk for final dps phase on taniks but caliban absolutely shredded everything else in the raid.

if you are using synthos with caliban at the end of the video killing the ogers. how do you get combination blow?

Can someone explain why invis is better in higher lvl content? I understand the usefulness of invisibility but I'm a big fan of threaded Specter especially with Caliban. You'll have shatters from dodging, ignition from powered melee kills, and you'll have threadlings doing work from your dodges.
