With a new Harry Potter game releasing despite no movie releasing, I hope it allows devs to release more LOTR content tied with the Trilogy. Like playing The Two Towers and Return of The King on graphics from this decade compared to 00s would be an experience.

Yeah with the way AAA devs seem to think it’ll probably be an Amazon game for their new series. It will feature buyable hero’s that nobody has ever heard of and battle passes- all in some kind of hybrid free to play battle royale game 😂

I always felt like Helms Deep in the original was a bit too small for a fortress. Now with the new changes it'll seem more like an actual siege battle.

Yeah, an actual siege battle fought between tens of soldiers... Even if it is like the original Conguest, I hope they make it more realistic and add more NPCs/enemies for the finished game. There should be thousands

I'm still not. What we saw was basically a tech demo for a game engine. It's beautiful but clunky and lacking anything that actually makes it akin to Lord of the Rings Conquest.

So the first few minutes were enough for me to say how spectacular this game is and hopefully will be in the future. Of course I hope that this game will be the same as you saw from the trailer and from the first gameplay. God damn the work behind it I can't thank you enough for this phenomenon what you put in the time work extremely awesome it got serious and I guarantee all Lord of the Rings fans will thank you for this super spectacular work and hopefully support, because I will definitely do it, because such work simply has to be rewarded and it is by no means a matter of course, many thanks again to all the makers who were involved in this project!!!!!!!! I'm speechless

The art direction and design look amazing. The animation needs some work but it's a small team I understand so that's not a big issue and it's also an Alpha. I hope when the final version is released the soldier count increases. I can just imagine the carnage of the elves and uruk going at each other on top of the wall with great numbers.

Hard to say if this will be any good until we see the combat. Most AAA devs struggle with making a good combat system fir games like this. I'm not to sure what to expect here

The point of the game is the conquest part/big battles. Combat might not be as nice for a game like this because thats not the main focuse. Look at star wars battlefront for example, the combat is meh but that's not what the games is focused on.

It didn't play anything like this, that's for sure. You got to actually fight for starters. So far, this looks like everything i dislike about modern gaming: prettier graphics at the cost of actually fun gameplay. Let's hope this is just a prologue that doesn't represent how the game is going to be.

Quite literally the game I've waited for all my life... Grab a friend or 2 and it's the perfect game to hop in and slay some Orc and Urakai for a couple rounds. I really really cannot wait to get my fingers on this one!!!! Desperatley want to play a LoTR game with a friend (other than the mmo.)

The great news planned for Helm's Deep is you will be able to choose either Rohan or Lothlorien races! if you choose Rohan, you will spawn on the outer wall and must defend the gate. If you choose the Lothlorien elves, you will spawn on the Deeping wall and must defend the Deeping wall!

Despite being a year late for this... I just had it recommended and I really hope that a remastered version of Conquest happens... I miss this game so much but can't play it anymore, I can only pray that this game has a return of some kind. And if its going to be good I would enjoy it even more.

now there are new technologies, such as dlss 3.5, more details can be added in the game using this method, the system reflects a little on the film, and if the character movements are studied a little more hero-like, and the number of soldiers on the rampart is increased, and the castle defense becomes more lively, and the mission system becomes more action-intensive, you will have no doubt that you will finish this job in the master, unfortunately, they could not make a nice lotr game

Man, Warner Bros Interactive should be looking at this. With the conclusion of Shadow Of War's story they really should be looking at this as the next big thing for Lord of the Rings. tripling the people working on this would give us a AAA title and it print so much money!
