I fixed my DUST COLLECTOR ! The best place for a pressure relief valve

I bought a pressure relief Valve off Amazon and had problems from the beginning.I found the best place for it but there is a plot twist .Little did I know that it had more to do with power of my shop Vac,The two are not compatible.I have learned from making these videos that's there's more to dust collection than meets the eye.Make sure it does not Damage your Dust separator setup.

Seems to me the answer isn't a PRV, it's a more robust bin, like say a proper drum with thicker walls. Also, where did you get that vac? I'm looking for something with good CFM and high static pressure.

@TheDrew2022 For me the simple solution was to stop the bin collapsing because Trying to get the PRV to work properly with everything on my circuit the affected the pressure was too much.However the Record CamVac is a different beast altogether and finding the correct drum or PRV will be interesting .This is by far the best dust extractor I've owned .Link Here: www.recordpower.co.uk/product/cgv2864-36l-2000w-compact-extractor-4-inlet

The simple answer is buy the right Camvac and ditch the cyclone. My system consisted of a shop vac and a cyclone on a drum to collect the larger dust. The only reason you need a cyclone is to give a larger capacity of dust capture and to save on dust bags. If like me you had bought the wall mounted Camvac you would have a much larger capacity and no need for the cyclone.

I'm guessing suction would improve as well? The only thing that puts me off is having to clean the back more often.

@@DogdadDIY it's a 150 ltr bag so must be as big as the bin?

The cloth bag on the inside that lines the Camvac bin.its like a filter,I'm not sure what yours has but I have the paper bags over the motors and then a bigger "sack" that goes inside the green bin.

@@DogdadDIY That's right it is the first filter. All the dust and shavings come in through the port on the side of the CamVac which acts like a cyclone. They then drop into the plastic bag hanging underneath and the air goes through the sack filter the paper filter and the sock filter and out of the exhausts on top of the unit. I had a similar problem with my dust collector. This is what I did to fix it. If you need more air, you could get an even bigger ball valve. You do lose suction when the valve is open, but you can dial it in because the valve is adjustable. Good luck! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/e96KiLaf3M6unKs.html

Thanks, I can't remember if I said that In my video but the valve will need to suit the vacuums strength.
