This mid-grade bike is actually a perfect all arounder for a growing teenager. It came to me in "unridden" condition so it just needed the basics and it really turned out great! So great, I was able to find it a new home right away! Sometimes I think the bicycles are flipping themselves!

I stumbled on the "A Line" bike trail videos recorded with head mounted go pro cams. that's some crazy jumping action.

I found your channel about a month ago and I've been just watching you rebuild bikes and do some beautiful rides - very relaxing and informative. Love the content!

Even with "good enough for who it's for" it's clear how much care you put into this tune-up/ clean-up. (Also how much knowledge it takes to do it well and efficiently.)

Just earned a sub! Fellow Wisconsinite over in Oshkosh. Medically lost my driver's license from Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and now I'm trying to get my 2 old commuter bikes up and running so I can commute to doctors appointments and errands instead of putting all the wear on my MTB. Thanks for all the tips and tricks!

Only thing I’d really do different, I’d take the V-brakes off completely, clean the mounting pegs off completely and hit it with some assemblers grease. For the same reason you greased the seat post. Moisture gets on those and rusts up real quick. While the brakes are off anyways, I’d also take 160 grit sandpaper, lay it flat on a bench and resurface the pads so they’re “fresh”.

I do that when they’re showing signs of corrosion. When it’s just old grease, I’ve found that a thin lubricant will flush things out and protect things well enough for most situations. Also, I’ve found blue marine grease works best.

No need to grease brake points, bike is not rusty and they rarely get siezed

Hello, I am new to your channel and I like what you do, and have adopted some of your servicing techniques and habits. So thank you for that. You obviously approach each bike with the same level of care and professionalism. I have got one question, or query that I would like you to answer..... I have seen a few of your servicing videos, but when it comes to bikes with suspension forks, you don't seem to check the state/condition of the stantions and seals etc. Do you pre-select and check the forks prior to your video shoot? If so, what do you check? If not, why not? Just curious Kirk

Is there ever anything to be done with the suspension on these bikes? I have noticed you never seem to touch the forks.
