There’s rare occasions where decent landlords might return any amount of the unused deposit even after you’ve broken the agreement, and they needed to use some of the money to make repairs. They’re not required to though. I reckon this is why the woman was attempting to counter sue or whatever because the man didn’t pay all of the deposit to begin with. This is something she honestly should’ve required before entering into the agreed relational contract, lmao. All of this is insane though.

Landlords absolutely cannot keep 100% of the security deposit unless they can prove, with payment receipts, that they needed 100% of it to pay for all the damage you did. There is no jurisdiction where they're allowed to keep a 2000$ deposit to pay for 100$ of rug cleaning.

Yep, I left the same comment before I saw yours. If he violated the terms of their relationship deposit then he wouldn’t get his deposit back at the end of the relationship. This is how security deposits work for apartments and other rentals.

I feel like every food can be casual depending on the people. Like I can be at a fancy sushi place with one of my besties and we just talk about art and university, no romance at all.

@@whatever3145 it is. I have even had to put myself into a residential mental health program this year, which is like one step down from a psych ward. I spent one month away from home and in the care of mental health professionals. I'm trying to not fall back into the habit I was in of only getting out of bed to use the bathroom essentially. My husband trying to encourage me to get up, get dressed up, go outside, enjoy life is supportive. There's nothing wrong with encouraging those you love. There are limits and individual situations but each person's situation is different.

Having someone you want to make happy can be an excellent reason to make yourself do things you might otherwise put off doing. And if hubby expressing that he misses the you that would dress up nice and go out to eat with him- or even just the you that would change into sweatpants to fold laundry while sitting on the couch- if that helps you make that extra bit of effort, great. I wish you both a good life together.

@@animeartist888 I understand that you feel like it's judgemental but I feel like once I clarified that I not only have been in a depressive state but had been so frozen in place at one point that the only way I overcame it was to commit myself that it would be clear that he's trying to ensure that I'm not back to that point. I enjoy getting dressed up. Even if it's just to be in the house. It makes me happy. Leaving the house is important. It's one of the goals I set with my therapist and psychiatrist when I left the mental hospital (less than 2 months ago). I know that there's people online who don't know that they are in negative situations but there's times to kind of let it go. If someone clarifies something up front that they know might sound negative with a "there's a reason for this" and then even clarifies further it's not really important to dig in I'm sorry to sound defensive but I like... Have an entire mental health team before and now that know what I need and someone telling me to get up even in down and that I'm way too up with I'm up is that.

No there are refundable deposits. You put down safety deposits in apartments and when you move out if there are no repairs that need to be done, you get the safety deposit back unless the landlord/manager is an asshole.
