I Found 4 Honda VF1000R's !!!!

In 2018 I found 4 VF1000R's after responses to my "Wanted" Ad paid dividends. I restored these into 2 Nice examples using the best parts form all 4 bikes.
These were there days before I was shooting Video of my restorations, so please enjoy the slide show.
Im not a professional, just a guy playing around with bikes for fun.

I remember these bikes, I had a 500lc, and one of these was twice as much new, I'd have loved one, but many people wanted a 500lc too, fab times, amazing bikes, Rg500, gpz900 gsx1100 slabside, the bike were better then, individual had character

I had one in 1986 and loved it for 6 years. Now I have another and it puts a smile on my face every ride. It is as new and beautiful and I love it all over again. Mike Sheffield, Christchurch, New Zealand

I owned an 1985 Honda Sabre, V-4 1100 cc engine. When i adjusted the valves the cams were good, and i rode that Bike up until 52,000 miles before i sold it. All it ever needed was routine maintenance and a clutch. The power was fantastic and addictive !

struggled mightily to choose between one of these and the just released VFR750, in '86, the VFR won, the pearl white was unbelievable in person, but have ALWAYS wished I could have picked one of these up too.. Thanks for the video.. good times

Thanks for commenting on my video/channel Mark. the 86 VFR750 was a beautiful bike too. I have a 2014 VFR800 in pearl metallic white and Its stunning.

Great Video! Just found your channel. Subscribing. In 86 I bought a VF1000R from Freedom Honda in Connecticut. They couldn't give them away. I loved it. It was the ultimate interstate cruise missile. I sent away to "Motorcyclist" Magazine for a zerox copy of a 24 hour test they ran on it. It was big, top heavy and fast. I owned it until 95 when Life got in the way and I had to get rid of it. The one Bike, Car etc. That I truly wish I could get back.

Thanks for the feedback ! Yes the VF1KR is a heavy bike for sure. I dont have mine any more either, I moved on to others in the collection, truly beautiful bike though.

@@true-moto-resto I got my eye on one VF1000R but the bike is in really bad condition. The mileage is low, but the owner neglected it. I think I will buy it. We’ll see.

@@teokastelan2930 They’re worth saving. Just be prepared for the cost and the challenge of finding parts. Most of all….have fun!

@@true-moto-resto Absolutely ! And they’re amazing bikes ! I am aware of cost and trouble of finding parts. The good thing is that the bike is complete. Yeah it’s not a problem. I work with bikes. This one will stay with me. I will restore it. And I will have fun. Thank you !

@@teokastelan2930 Right On! they're one of the best looking bikes of the 80's IMHO. If the bike is complete, thats more than half the battle, should be alot of fun.
