I am a big fan of your page and work ...BUT , I'm a little confused as to why you'd buy a Pakistani race suit , are they just for display ? For a number of reasons - Firstly the quality that these manufacturers is not what is claimed in fact in many cases it is downright misleading and CE rated armour is again not genuine. .... I would HATE to crash in these garments. Secondly, they are counterfeiting other genuine companies good name.
@true-moto-resto2 күн бұрын
Thanks for the comment, you are correct that some offshore suits are not great. I can only tell you of my experience with these particular ones. Most are display jackets only however I do ride in a few (I don’t race). The armour is apparently genuine CE Approved Level 2 armour. jackets can be made in cow hide or kangaroo. As for quality, I personally rather wear these than jeans or ballistics suits (which I have crashed in in the past) Re the point on them not being genuine Dianese etc….Fair comment

Good start pressure for spray gun which is a rp.Is anywhere between 19 psi to 26 psi range.
@true-moto-resto3 күн бұрын
Yea, the low volume high pressure gun I used here didn’t want to spray the thick primer at anything lower than 40psi. I spray my base coat at 10-15 psi with my hvlp and high 20’s for clear (about 2 bar)
@langdonfairchild1st8053 күн бұрын
@@true-moto-resto You can always put extra thinner in the primer so is flows better and add a couple more coats for the DFTs. Thinner is only for the viscosity so the paint flows through the gun. The thinner totally evaporates from the paint while drying.
@true-moto-resto3 күн бұрын
@@langdonfairchild1st805 yea, true, I tried that with the reducer I had here and the primer turned to cottage cheese. I’ll have to find a different thinner for it.

Loving this build. I just wish you hadn’t insisted on using that giant end piece on the exhaust. I think a slash cut piece of pipe that fully cleared the fairing would have looked so much better. Oh well, you’ve cut a massive hole in the fairing now. Guess I’ll just have to get over it 😊.
@true-moto-resto3 күн бұрын
Thanks for the comment, the belly pan was supplied/came with that giant 6” hole already in it, which is why I chose a large tip to fit the hole (with a small trimming ). If I used a smaller pipe, I would have to have filled in the hole and re cut it smaller diameter.

Nice bike! I got an '09 1125r. Clean. Almost stock like yours except the necessary mods to keep it running, Rick's stator and voltage regulator. EBR modified rotor with the oil hole. Race Ecm. I noticed you got a little clutch weep too. Known issue. I got an Oberon unit and mine has been fine ever since. No weep. You don't see many of these on the road anymore. It takes a lot to make them right and keep them going, but worth it.

Geez, I paid 15 for a 90 GSX-R 1100 from the original owner with spares included. Needed a little crash damage repaired which I've done. Looks and runs great. Besides the tinted windscreen and EBC rotors it's completely stock. That ZX is a $200 pile of parts. Maybe not even that much if it's been painted.

In regards to the Air-Cut Valve. This unit only comes into play when you decelerate, and in all probability Honda did it to meet air pollution standards of the day. Personally I find it more trouble than enough, so I usually just plug the hole with a small piece of rubber and forget about it. I am not a fan of running my engine on the lean side, have had problems in the past. Thanks

Hi there: I use a Brass brush and that cleans the outside of the jets quite nicely. The other thing I do is use some Silvo or Brasso on a Q tip to clean the needle seat since they are not removeable. I did notice that you replaced the rubber plug but you did not remove the jet that was underneath the rubber plug. You have to trim a slot screwdriver to fit and make sure that the tip is thick enough at the end so it does not damage the slot. It will come out but just have to be careful. I believe it is part of the idle circuit and if not cleaned you will have a hell of a time to get it balanced properly, thanks
@true-moto-resto9 күн бұрын
Thanks for the tips! And for taking the time to write a comment ! In a later video I remove the rubber plug again and drill/tap the jet inside to remove it. These were pre 84 carbs, and to remove that jet in the pre 84 you have to drill/tap and use a small nut and bolt to extract the jet

Had one of those in black and red. It was hard to find parts for a decade ago. 160 was all it could muster with 220lb on its back. Had a muzzy full race pipe. Dyno jetted. And advanced ignition. Didn't wake up to bout 10,000. Rpm that way thoe. That last 2 was fun. I never put another race pipe on a st bike after that. It sounded like a cr 500 at idle. And 25 mph sounded like 80. All the wrong attention, if you can't behave. Killed 1st motor and replaced it. Then, sold it with a bad water pump for 1000.00. They are a cool piece of history. Not much else Thoe. Not much power nor lean angle.
