This would be great channel content, if you got the ‘Stang, and did some videos of the body shop replacing the roof, and bringing the pony back to its original glory!

The issue with the roof is that the bracing and inner structure for the roof has been compromised. That would have to be replaced as well as the roof skin. Both roof rails can easily be repaired

24:14 No... the steel is streched, so when you push it back, you have to much material. Doesn't work. Roof replacement isn't that hard as most people think. The windshield and back window has to be taken out and the welds have to be drilled out. All the pillars wil stay in tact

Randy, if you get the roush,,, you can work on the roof yourself,,, Lay on your back and with your feet, start at the edges of the dent and start pushing up working your way around the edge to where you started,,,,, Keep going around the edges until you end up in the middle,,, I think that you will find that almost all of the dent will come out,,, By starting at the edges and working in you will keep from stretching the metal,, Good luck on purchasing it,, :-)

Myself, I'd take the video over to the PDR chap that looked at your Mustang, as someone mentioned, and see if they can do it and how much then work out what it's worth but you already know that. Great video. Hope you're able to get the Mustang and the Mercedes.

Christine, great movie but amazing book!!

I have had dents like the one in the Mustang and literally pushed them out with my hands. The roof metal is actually fairly malleable and kinda pops back into place. It may not be perfect but it will be 85-90% and it’s free.

That Roush will go for big money even though the roof is caved in. If someone doesn't buy it to fix it they will buy to part it out.

The Mustang is fixable either through a dent popper or a body shop. Find one that will take on this project. The interior should be pulled and headliner. To keep damage down. A dent popper can do their magic.Without a headliner a lot will come out .A body shop can use a pulling post on a frame machine and pull up and get most if not all out. Then you get a new roof (fairly Cheap). You will have very little plastic filler in then. If you prefer a used roof I'm sure one can be sourced. Good Luck.

I am very very a mustang fan. I’ve always been a Ford mustang pan unfortunately because I’m. unfortunately, because I’m in a power wheelchair and I’ve got a disability and I can’t drive the only kind of Ford Mustang I can have is like a shell one that you can put on the shelf but if you would get this mustang and bring it to your channel I would really really appreciate it if you can afford it because I have always been a Ford mustang fan and I always will be and if you get this car and bring it on your channel and put a couple videos out on it I would watch him every single day guaranteed because I would live my life through you i’ll talk to you later man have a good day and I’ll watch for your next video

Ive got a 2005 saturn ion 2 sedan with almost 200,000 miles on it (198,000 to be exact) with a 5 speed manual. I use as a lil beater for driving back and forth to work instead of my nice truck. The car gets great gas mileage. Its got a slightly broken left taillight, a couple scratches, and a cracked flex pipe so it has an exhaust leak and is a lil loud, not too bad tho. However it starts every time, doesnt overheat, and has working heat AND ice cold AC. Bought it for a grand.

Rouch is missing the leather inserts in the door panels. Those mustangs are notorious for that coming off and are a real PITA to fix.

Randy, I think you should go back to the old days and fix cars that elsewhere would be crushed. The Roush Mustang and the Silver Impala near it that just needed a front clip. It was a 09-16 classic Impala with the Luxury edition!😂 would be good candidates.

It might be a little more involved than just replacing the roof. The front and rear glass needs to come out to replace the roof skin and then are the cross members also bent. I wonder what got dropped on it?

The Saturn Ion is an underrated car. People look at it and generalize it thinking that the person driving it is some poor hoodlum (or an old hippie), when in reality, there are people who can afford a 'better' car, and simply drive the Ion because they LIKE it. Same for other people driving old cars, most of them aren't poor, they just like their old car and cherish their memories with it, so they drive it until the wheels fall off, and when that happens, they just take it to Quick Lane and keep going. 🤣

You should definitely get that 427R, you cab have the roof skin swapped out SUPER easy, anx it shouldnt cost another over at most 3-5 grand... if it does, turn around and find a new body shop. I have a 2013 Roush Stage 3 car, best car I've ever owned! 565 horsepower, 6 speed manual, so much fun to drive.
