It would've been cool if catching all the unown's around sinnoh led to another story in legends arceus because of its lore I think there's a lot to explore there.

I am slowly working on my living form alpha dex, and I decided to wander into solaceon when resetting outbreaks. My 5th time into that little room was my Shalpha Unknown. Then alternatively I cant find a shiny zorua despite it being my most caught pokemon by a large margine, even ignoring resets XD

As someone who's target shiny alphas are often non-aggressive pokemon that are startled easily, I've learned some techniques to permutate them more consistently. First is that you throw a berry or other bait on the ground to distract the pokemon you don't want to despawn, then throw berries at the mons you *do* want to despawn to startle them and immediately fast travel back to a camp. Doing it right causes them to despawn and it counts towards permutations the same way it does when you despawn aggressive pokemon. You also have to keep in mind that depending on how the outbreak pans out, some permutations can become impossible. For example if one of the initial spawns is an alpha or an aggressive evolution, you can't do the permutation that requires despawning all 4 initial spawns, since the aggressive pokemon will not despawn when you startle them and then fast travel.

I wonder if arcues used them to create language? There seems to be a singular common language in the anime depiction of humans in the pokemon world. Maybe the unknown are reflections of the common language and they somehow are what allows pokemon to understand humans?

When i hunted these things for alpha shiny i had to force despawn all the basic unown by hitting them with berries then sleeping to midnight and morning to reset them. Managed to get 3 shiny alpha unown this way. No outbreaks
