Really quick tip for AC pvp. Remember that your opponent is a human, they don’t read your inputs and can be tricked or distracted. Kinda common knowledge ik, but spamming heavy lasers and rocket launchers whenever won’t do much. Bait them into chasing you in the sky, wait for them to start falling from running out of energy, then hit them with the rockets as they fall. Bonus points if you get them to quick boost to dodge your gattling guns before you attack.

@@ALLMINDmercenarysupportsystemMinigun has never been meta, mostly due to the range problems. They have surprisingly low range for their size and weight, so they fall prey to shotgun users who can stagger them before their barrels can spin up, or kites who can run away and spam missiles.

I was wondering why I didn't recognize anyone's names but then I remembered that Zanny is on Xbox and there's no cross play. Steam has a sizeable community, I hear Playstation might have an even bigger community cause Japan fucking loves AC by comparison to everyone else. Also a modder added coop and invasions to the PvE so that's pretty lit. Love seeing AC content from bigger names. Also yeah LW builds are hard to pull off but there are a couple of top 100 players that use light weight builds, though I think heavies are still kind of the meta, double Zimms and a shield are nuts.

11:05 for this build if you want to go long range you have to have a long range fcs chip. The WLT chip is generally good but there are better longe range ones. I suggest using some missiles on the back and linear rifles for your primaries since those will usually hit even lighter mechs with faster boost speed. The primaries you have on during that match have very slow projectile speed so the guy can just strafe and doesn't even need to dodge. Otherwise it's a dope build, keep it up zan man

Do NOT use the long range chips, if you're going long range WLT is the one you go for. Most builds are close range and most can outrun tetrapods, even heavyweights with buerzel assault boost and with those atrocious close range stats you will just get picked apart.

DO NOT USE LONG RANGE CHIPS. combat with ballistic weapons beyond like 230m is almost completely impossible because of bullet travel speed, if you're going for range, you use missiles

Quick tip: Locking on gives an accuracy penalty, so sometimes soft locking (manually following the target with your camera) can make precision weapons hit a bit more. Maybe try use a mixture of hard and soft lock, see if it helps any?

Which is why it takes really skilled ravens to pilot like that on a controller I'm rocking out with a 350+ speed lightweight core "DIAMOND DOG" with the talbot fcs, dual rifles and missles and it slays just fine (in offline arena/story). If anything, i think guns and missiles is the definitive basic AC experience (prob cuz my first AC game was formula front lol)

i made a bomber mech using some parts from one of the endings that you could switch but its basically just a medium biped for a bit of armor using two of carlas rocket guns and whatever missile launchers have the most projectiles on the shoulders, sometimes swapping one for an energy missile, you can just fire like 30+ seeking missiles all at once that demolish things or fire them in weird rhythms so they cant be dodged forever

Decided to start running Ranked solo matches on PC all day yesterday, and the amount of times I ran into Meta users in B rank was ABSURD. I'm using a light AC that could be classified as a copy of the Ariel (?) Gundam, I am NOT made to take 4 rounds of buckshot to the face!! The only possitive to fighting the meta is that I can pelt them with the laser swarmers at any range and they struggle to reach me in the air and keep up with me on the ground.

The lightweight tetrapod legs (lammergeier) are actually insanely good if you have the right boosters and generator, they transform into this weird boat looking thing when hovering and have insane speed and QB speed. they are pretty fragile though

In terms of meta, At some point, it really comes down do skill issue, like actually. I witness a gundam battle between someone using the weakest combination of parts and someone using meta parts. You would NOT believe me if i told you it was evenly match and the battle actually tense as fuck. The boosting and dodging was insane, the back and forth was fucking wild, like just imagine those op characters in anime fighting at superfast speeds, it was *actually* like that I really wish that i was recording them fighting

Somewhat agree but the "meta" influences these matches heavily.......but Seeing how it goes in S-rank, I've seen the most wild out pocket builds to ever grace Rubicon. Like a good balance of 50% meta and 50% memes. While B and A rank are where all the meta tryhards are at. You can spot the skill issue lmao.

Am I the only one sad to see zanny become a meta slave to the tetrapod legs. Every build I fight I have a blast whether I win or lose, but any time a tetrapod rolls in, I can't do a thing. They stay in the air the WHOLE fight.
