It's basically like a third ninjutsu so you have to set it up with your ninjutsu first then use the fan that's why your ninjutsu resets.

My build is summoning slug then shadow stitching and then bansho fan if you got the slug out you will always have some type of healing and it lowers defense so your fan will hit harder

Fun fact. Pop bashosen right… then before you shoot the fireball, do a dodge (L2/LT + any direction) to cancel bashosen so the fireball DOESNT shoot. When you do this. You create a fire wall that does the same damage as the fireball AND it lasts a decent amount of time. but even better, you don’t reset your ninjutsu cooldowns. Cooldowns ONLY reset if you shoot the fireball. Bashosen 🔥

I don’t necessarily think it’s with you being in the air, I’m sure when the foot hits the ground a shockwave occurs, so when you get “Hit” while you’re in the air, it’s not the foot hitting the ground, it’s mostly that shockwave that comes afterwards BUT I UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU’RE SAYING AND IT IS ANNOYING

Lot of burst dmg and different ways to use it, especially if you realize you dont HAVE TO sacrifice your jutsus, but idk we have kunais bro😅, it just doesnt do the same for you as some kunai type or some its mostly just damage and a few counters. High dmg lways has a niche, but damage is just something you can apply for free if you winning a fight, so rsther use something to win a fight then some to deal damage, like stuff that helps you get to that point instead of something that comes in handy when you already winning a fight basically. It's fun tho, stylish, feels satisfying... a little clunky tho. Idk. Solid 6/10

I managed to use the tool without losing my jutsu once. I believed I “canceled” it but still did it by jumping as soon as I waved the fan down. I only managed to do it once and it’s likely if the devs find out they will patch it. I suggest trying it before it gets patched

I believe it was in the description so its gotta be intentional, you can cancel out the tool after the wall is put up, but it takes away jutsu when you let it finish shooting a fireball

Yeah it's on purpose it blocks attacks both ways, doesn't take jutsu if you cancel before the fireball launches
