As a new homeowner let alone a new farm owner I would recommend and suggest that you keep any and all tools worth saving or restoring that way you can keep different sets all over the property so if you need a tool you don't have to run back to the barn to get one for the house or you don't have to go to the house to get one for the shed you keep a set all over.

And you can still buy them today. I just bought one about two years ago because I got mad with the fancy ones I had in the kitchen. Stopped in at the Dollar Store and pick up a cheap one with a long history. Worked better than all the new ones I had in the drawer put together. 😂😏

Think about how many people fished off that dock over the years. I'm surprised you didn't find more pliers, knives and fishing lures. The flashlight is indeed kinda old. That bottle opener was probably what was used to open those old beer cans and they got a buzz on and dropped it! LOL 21:40 it looks like a hand crank can opener with the crank missing. Thanks for sharing with us!!🐢✌

That thing u couldn't figure out somewhere around the 20-22 min mark was a broken can opener just missing the blade and the butterfly crank. Glad to see all that fishing line come out of the water. I think they would jump at the chance to get the Info you could give them. Also the E.P.A. would be interested in info you could give them on dump sites you find spots with so much junk that there must of been illegal dumping at some time weather by a industry, or land owner they might like to know that they exist. Just take a G. P. S. reading with your phone and mark what type of scrap your getting.

A bit over 36 minute video, which you probably spent a whole day of fishing to get that amount of video, then editing it all together. You do some wonderful work on these. OH WOW, metal Schlitz can that is intact. That's some money for collectors. On those tools that have rust, you can use a drill with a 'rotary wire wheels' to clean them up easily, rather than using just a wire brush and elbow grease to clean them. A little WD-40 also helps on the Pivot Point will help with making them move better. On the heavily rusted pliers if you want to restore it, put it in some vinegar for less than 12 hours (starts pitting after a while, so check on it regularly) then use 'rotary wire wheel' on it. I've used that on many 'Farm Finds' to clean rusted tools right up. That one "Pliers' looking thing is a Can Opener, I have one like that in a kitchen drawer. Those Logging Tools are worth some money for sure. OH, you found a Bow Saw, but didn't show you fishing it up.

Probably the same can opener they used to open that can of Schlitz. Bireley's was a non-carbonated orange, that was popular across the U.S. they were bottling 59 million bottles a month by the 1950s but after being bought and sold a few times it was ran into the ground. It was still being made in Thailand until 2019.
