@An Abomination They really do man! My friend had one stuck in a new house he was building, trapped against the window... Now, my grandma told me stories about how hummingbirds play dead. So i figured, why would she lie to me about something like that? Its not like she told me. If you catch a wasp, they play dead. So anyhow, i go over to my friends and the window is the hummingbird. Once it got onto the corner, i gently put my hands around it and it just plopped over like it was dead! Just like grandma told me. So i walk outside, open my hands and its just laying... My bud is like... Is it dead? I said.. No, grandma told me they play dead and after about 10 seconds they will lift their we little heads up... Look around quick like and dart off. Sure enough, that is exactly what the hummingbird did :)

@@KampKenan you wont respond to my comment because you know im right. I am a big fan but the billions of tax payer dollars spent to preserve native wildlife far exceed people having big predators as pets. The "whats next" argument was the same argument used to fight against gay marriage. Regardless that you are highly responsible, there is a significant percentage of people who will inevitably release their pets and hurricanes will continue to come through and destroy breeding facilities, like hurricane andrew which started all this. I am personally only concerned with big predators, and dont care about iguanas. although it is evident here in brevard that cuban tree frogs and brown anoles have displaced natives

When I was younger, one winter, we had a great tit (the bird) with only one leg visiting our garden. They tried to eat from the net with birdseeds that we had hanging from a branch but couldn't because they would lose their balance on their one leg. So we took the bottom of the net with seeds and attached it to the branch too so the seeds layed on top of the branch and they could eat them. For years they returned every winter to our garden and would stay near for weeks. We were always so happy to see them return.

Ah seeing this makes my heart warm. My first reptile while living in Jersey was catching a random Iguana at when I was about 13 years old in my back yard that someone must have released. Even since I've been way into reptiles. This reminded me of that time catching some crazy exotic animal that wasn't supposed to be there. I had many reptile pets since then. My teen years in my room looked like a reptile zoo. Been awhile since owning pets aside dogs and I now have 2 turtles (yellow belly and Ouachita map) and a new bearded dragon for my oldest son. Brings me back to my days as a teen.

@@kingexplosionmurderfuckoff9376 I do actually. For example I know repolcating a iguana in floridato a different part of Florida doesn't help anything cuase they are still where they aren't supposed to be and still a threat to endagered species. I also know Florida's iguanas can not be reolcated to their natiave habitat due to being exposed to diseases that could be a problem for animals in their actual natiave range. You on the other hand clearly don't since you think you can save Florida's iguanas when you really can't.cuase the poeple who said they love these animals have basicly doomed them by keeping them has a pet leading to them being sold in stores where anyone could get one like petco.cuasing poeple who truly love all animals to have to put them down cuase keeping them alive does way more harm then good to animals.

So I never bought one, but I found one in a Flea market that was not looking to well, it was extremely cold. I took it to a local PetSmart and tried to get as much info for it and than eventually took it to a place that I knew it will have a bless life. I will never keep an animal if I can't take care of it. But I felt I had to rescue it, because if I didn't it would have died. It was sad to see the Iguana go because the Iguana grew attached to me. But I felt it knew that I saved it's life. But great job here !!! Love it you should name the Iguana haha. Since she already called your place home!

It is semi-aggressive behavior. They basically do it when they are stressed or pissed off. Bearded dragons do it also.

He was warning you that you were getting to close or it could have been because there was another reptile near by he didn't want there.

@alir hanhook I see. Though, it's not humans in general. As there are just as many, if not more good people doing good for the environment as there are the bad, who harm the environment. We can't just focus on the negative.

Would have done the same thing Kenan, law or not. Any chance of you doing another video with Ty Park in the near future? I'm curious to hear his views on this new law and what it will mean for Iguana Land. Was trying to plan a trip to come down there and check it out if this pandemic ever ends. Thanks for the awesome video, keep it up.

Grew up with iguanas. Probably my favorite animal after dogs. I had a few 6-7 footers from the end of the mouth to the tip of the tail. Also had a savannah monitor and some tarantulas
