The Santa ornament is from an animated Christmas movie from when I was a kid. That is supposed to be Santa when he was a younger man. I'm sure he'd be collected by another old guy like me. LOL

Hi Tiffany: I was in Dentistry for 30 yrs, the worst thing you can give a patient with his 3rds removed is soup or mashed potatoes as they can cause severe dry sockets, the best thing is plain Ice Cream with no nuts in them like Vanilla Ice cream, also putting cooled down teabags directly on the extraction sights stops bleeding. No sucking through a Straw and no Spitting harshly, again these were the Post Op. The heavy yellow glass bowl is Imperial Glass, has a sawtooth edge and pinwheel pattern. Set it down without the sides touching anything else and flick your finger against the side. If it makes a sweet ringing bell sound then it is crystal, not glass. Which makes it worth more than glass. I paid $5.99 for a similar one at my local goodwill several years ago, though mine is reddish amber, not yellow like yours. But I was thrilled to find it for such a low price. It is thick and heavy such as yours must be.

That one blown glass ornament is not an elf, it';s actually Santa Claus (the story talks about how Santa Claus came to be Santa Claus, so this is the 'younger' version of Santa). Given how much people love the nostalgia of that stop-action TV special, I would think you will get a good return on it - especially when you have the main characters!

The decanter and glasses are by Culver and they are the Valencia pattern. That was a great find.. What luck to find them at a fabulous price

Tiffany, I told you I was going to through my pretty glassware, and deciding what to give to the church store. I got a pile, then held back. There was on a very good quality heavy narrow oval dish. It is separated, and has a silver bottom. I held it, looked for a marking...not one, BUT, still decided to keep it because it is functional and beautiful. I ook my silver cleaner, and cleaned the bottom, but it had never been used, and no tarnish came off...that is why I didn't think it was plate. I looked again, last night, and found a very light marking on the silver. It is made in Italy, and states...quality silver plate with the Logo VM in a rounded top doorway shape..This dish is definitely staying. It would be good for cranberry sauce on one side, and an ambrosia in the other. Another find...in my own cabinet! LO

I think the gopher is supposed to be coming out of something...like a vase or mug. That's why he only has half a body. Also, pretty sure those glasses and decanter are Culver Valencia pattern.

My daughter is Enterior Designer (like a Decorator & Architect combined, awesome!) She always names her story boards. Mine is "International Boho Chic". Decanter & glasses would be perfect, what a find! Have been shopping at Wills & Sallys (Goodwill & Salvation Army). The latest my son told me about, Hanks (Habitat for Humanity Restore). You find high quality furniture, kitchen items, linens, art work, fixtures, cabinets, lighting, to paint & supplies. It's the Superstore of thrift shops! Found a gorgeous Ethan Allen stuffed chair, fabric is ecrue with jacquard design embroidered in biege, like new, tag says made 1997, even has arm covers. Haven't checked for a value, paid $40. It's my new boudoir chair! With watching your show have learned so much! My best finds have been a Vera Wang silver frame at Will's for $10, sells from $129 to $169. A Christmas grab bag for $4.99 with cloth ribbon & ornaments mostly showing, but could barely see a couple wire wings inside. Love angels & they're huge part of our Christmas decor. Ribbon & ornaments looked good quality & cheaper than $ store to decorate packages. How often do you get to rescue an angel? Got the bag. Inside was 5 WillowTree angel ornaments & 3 angel statues, sell between $20 to $60. Kept them for myself, that's hard part it seems! Vera Wang goes to daughter who's soon to be married. How do you part with what you find?! Luv your relationships with family & pets. Thought you would introduce your husband after his dental work.
