Also, locs should be tied up or covered to avoid breakage and all the lint when working a dirty job or lounging around. It's people out here who haven't washed their hair and it turns out the same way (forming a dirty loc naturally). I have free forms and my scalp is clean. I checked it yesterday.😂

She told me it was my hair doing it because the length was down to my waist and hadn't had a cut for 15 years. It was only ever trimmed. He obviously took care of them for a long time. Idk this guy's story but if he at some point stopped taking care of his hair he could have been depressed. A lot of people stop taking care of their hair when they are so don't be so quick to judge for it.
