No! They were telling their stories after their historical cases concluded in happy outcomes. It would have been goulish to have video all of the actual pregnancies at the time. If any one of the pregnancies hadn't survived, it wouldn't have been included. I feel all the comments here are incredibly insensitive. Obviously none of those who have commented have had a difficult pregnancy or worse yet, not being able to get pregnant. So many women seem to think it is a normal process for all women, to fall pregnant and to give birth. Well it isn't, unfortunately. So in future, try to show some compassion.

And letting your mother do that is letting her make a big risk to her health. A lot of women who go through those treatments get lymphoma, there is a strong link.

Doctors generally believe that an 'older' woman who is pregnant or has given birth is so strange or unnatural. I was 39 years-old when I was pregnant with my first (and only) child and did not think anything of it; I was upset for a few doctors and hospital staff that mentioned my being 'older' and the possibility of birth defects. I was just so happy and felt so blessed; thank God that my son was born normal, healthy, and beautiful - bless him.

Yeah- I had my 1st at 16. Was deemed high risk bc of my young age, then countless problems. I had my 6th baby when I was 31. From all my pregnancies, I knew anybody pregnant @ 35 or older, was automatically considered high risk. Mine were all high risk for health reasons, so I was happy I'd had all of mine before 35, bc I didn't need any other factors working against me, but I always found it odd that just bc somebody turns 35, they're high risk, whether they have health issues or are perfectly healthy. I thought it'd be just a technicality type thing, though, if a woman was 35, that the dr. would simply have to make note of it, & keep slightly closer watch of the pregnancy, as long as mom is healthy, but it wouldn't be a big deal. My older sister got pregnant with her 1st child, right after she turned 35. When she was asking me all the questions a 1st time mom wants to ask a seasoned mom, lol, I'd mentioned that bc she's 35, she might get a little extra attention from the dr, so she wouldn't be panicked, when being told she was "high risk". Sure enough- starting at the very 1st appt, she felt like she was being looked at, as if she was fighting for her life, had committed a crime, or like she was a senior citizen trying to have a baby. When she asked the dr why all the concern, she was told it was bc she's 35.... that was the only reason, bc she was "otherwise healthy". She was immediately referred to a specialist, & had to go through SO much more testing, appointments, specialist appts, screenings, etc...., than I ever had to, with ANY of mine, & I had a few pregnancies with several complications with my baby & me, so I had tons myself. I felt bad, bc with my sis being so hormonal already, as it was, she'd gone into it SO excited to be having her 1st baby, feeling young & healthy, but left that 1st appt, feeling like she was being shamed bc she was "old" & having her 1st baby. Her feelings of embarrassment & guilt became overwhelming for her, throughout the pregnancy, bc at each visit, she was made to feel like she'd done something wrong, by waiting til she was 35 to have her 1st. She felt like with every visit, she was being judged for being "old" & pregnant. That took a serious toll on her emotionally. It's not like on the day of ur 35th bday, ur body immediately stops working right. I really wish all the doctors she'd seen, had a little more tact, than what they did, & handled the situation a little more gracefully, when dealing with an already hormonal & terrified 1st time mom😔

Woman: "I'm having searing abdominal pain". Doctor: "oh you're fine, go home." Woman three months later: about to commit a crime if she doesn't get medical help NOW! Doctor: "Ok well I guess let's have another looky see. OMG YOU WERE RIGHT!!!" As if this doesn't happen thousands of times every day around the world. So typical.

@@aprilapril2 Yes, for the husband. He wanted kids and he didn't have kids. Now, they could've been completely fine without children. She was completely ok with no longer having more children. But mum stepped up, with her own will, own decision. Who knows how long they may of tossed this idea before settling for it. They might've not really considered it being nessessary, but mum certainly did.

Um...no... a baby is only viable at the 7 month mark and thats very low chances so almost 4 months premature would be 5 months....
@natashawhyte50226 жыл бұрын
Galaxy Eyes that's incorrect, 5 months fetuses have viability but the chances are significantly low. I went into preterm labor personally at 20+5. It was postponed through medication; however, though the chances were slim. I was told that they still existed.

Belinda McDaniel I'm sorry to hear that! I was stable for the entirety of everything including the 39 hours of labor before the cesarean, but we almost lost my son a number of times. I would have liked to have had him naturally, but thank God we made the call for surgery when we did. If we would have waited even 20 minutes longer they would have been delevering a still born due to the amount of distress he was in. The one major thing i have learned from all of this is choose your doctors and hospital VERY carefully!!

Watching this made me feel a bit emotional since my mom had trouble conceiving. She had a miscarriage on her first pregnancy which devastated me a bit since she never told me and i heard it through a family member. My parents had a boy but was already born dead, my mom said I was a miracle because she couldn't have kids and if the second chance wouldnt work she never would've had kids. I'm an only child and yes I am grateful that I lived, I can only imagine the fear my parents had hoping i'd ge through the night since i was born premature. What I am also concerned is if the same might happen to me, since other two family members have had miscarriages on their first pregnancy.
