why do doctors explain risks of surgery in front of a very smart little boy? how terrifying. he doesn't need to hear that conversation since there is no way to avoid the surgery.

I’m not blaming the parents, but….When we were little all the poisons were locked up and out of reach. We were told this is toxic, do not touch or eat or drink. Do you remember those yuck stickers? We knew what was dangerous.

As lovely as the kids are, times now are very, very, very different. The 2nd generation kids and onwards can stay. But NO MORE NEW MIGRANTS. Otherwise we reduce the quality of life for everyone with increasingly unsustainable population density.

Documentaries of children having surgery hit so close to home. I was five when I had a sixth brain surgery (the only one I have memories of) so seeing this sweet girl go in for a much more serious procedure brings back all sorts of memories. I am glad the reports indicate she is alive and well all these some 20-25 years later. I still remember the mask being placed over me and the smell since none of the fun smells had been introduced yet...

A beautiful dad and son. They deserve the world ❤
