Chris Jones she may be a busy mom, there’s other ways of loving your kids and being a good mom thats not cooking 24/7 for them. Plus cooking for a family of 7 is hard when you work full time so at least if the chef cooks she gets to spend some of her day sat down at the table with her kids having a home made meal

I do this once a week for my daughter's family. She is currently in a supervisory position in nursing, works 50-60 hours/week, goes to school to earn her nurse practitioner's degree, has a husband, 3 kids and two dogs. I start about 9:30 by doing the grocery shopping, then meal prep, then clean kitchen back up. Finish about 2:30. Anything to lighten her load.

A M no, I have not asked her. But I offered, she didn't ask me. I am retired and love to cook, so the kitchen is my happy place. She and her husband would have made it work somehow, they always have. But I could see how thinly she was stretched. As a young divorced (against my will) mother of 3 who worked 12 hours a day, I remember that stress and wanted to help her.

And there was a lot of partial prep so that things last longer. Like the spaghetti squash lasagna as basically assembled so that the family could just bake it off and serve it fresh. Besides prep is the longest part of cooking. The actual cooking is usually no time at all. The labor is what you pay for.

What a wonderful job. I would love to do this for others! I'm sure it's a lot of work but very rewarding. I see people in the store and what they put in their carts and sometimes I get sad because what they have in their cart is so unhealthy. I would love to be able to cook great healthy and fresh food for people!

The food is fine??? It can be preserved well. If you are complaining then maybe check the fridge temperature in your house? Mine can keep premade food for a week because it's cold enough Foods that are harder like broccoli, kale and asparagus also are fine to keep in the fridge long periods of time simply because they don't wilt like lettuce which spoils fast Premade food also tends to not have germs which rots it because 1 it was washed prior to being put to heat 2 it was put to heat 3is that she recently bought the food- it wasnt there waiting a week to be cooked. These precautions themselfs can preserve food longer than just being in the fridge for days or even weeks when people forget to cook it in a timely manner. She is abiding to food and safety standards and knows what she is doing Don't take this the wrong way it's just confusing to hear people say this. Germs spoil food faster and make people sick which in some food experiments have some visible results. In a kindergarten class to teach this concept teachers might pass a piece of bread so all the students touch it (just passing it without them tearing or crushing the bread) and then put it in a plastic bag. The teacher also bags a clean bread. Within 3 days the one filled with the kids germs has visible mold and the clean one is still fine because it was touched with clean hands. It's a cool experiment and some photos can be found if you google it. People who work in food know how to keep food fresh long enough and tell the consumers how quickly they must eat it by

This is amazing ancd no mess for the mom when she comes home from work. The kids get home cooked healthy meals. Good eating habits are established young, This mom is doing her kids right by making this a priority in their lives. The chef is incredible with such a positive attitude and her food is made with love. That always makes it taste better.

I could totally see myself doing this, if only my wrist didn't hurt as much :( I do it for myself all the time and love it. Thank you for sharing your tips! Something I love to do is allow the cooked food to get "infused" with herbs and spices, as in some sort of "post cooking marinade" The flavor a couple of days later is just delicious!

This is great and all because I’m sure the parents are busy and can afford this, but that kind of takes the fun out of it all. Like my kids would grow up remembering their favorite dishes as the ones that their personal chef made, not their mamas cooking. It’s also fun to cook with kids and teach them, they love to get involved and before you know it, you’ll have kids making dinner for the whole family by the age of like 10.
