I know this feeling. Animating for a long time on youtube now. Some animations get recommended and do well, others not. It feels like it happens really random sometimes. Working months for a animations ~ 50k views. Posting some part of an animation or shitpost ~ 500k views. I don't get it.

one time I made a video that got like a million views and fb ppl kept reposting part of it with about 4m views, so I asked the guy to credit me- he was a jerk about it, so I posted our convo to imgur and hundreds of ppl started attacking his page and messaging and emailing him. Was funny and he finally put credit. I don’t think he made any money from it but unfortunately I think he got some publicity. Whatever. (it was ice cream clip, btw) Anyway, I think these are just signs ur channel is growing. Sucks tho. fb and insta meme ppl r toxic.

A lot of Facebook’s views are fake. Facebook’s Autoplay feature means those that simply scroll past the video will count as a “view”. I can definitely tell you that only around 5,000 people properly “saw it”

I wish people wouldn't steal content from hardworking creators such as Ghost. I just discovered him yesterday, and I'm already a fan. Such a great animator and deserves much more than this. Ghost, if you ever see this, maybe starting up a patreon will help with revenue, we can support your work. Hopefully all the sites and pages that steal your content get what's coming for them.

It’s October 1 and almost midnight here. KZfaq has recommended this although I have never watched this channel, this is the 5th video from left on my iPad screen. So, I can guess that after 2 months, someone at KZfaq or a bot probably decided to put this. Despite the hundred and thousands complaints I have against this platform and it’s system and practices, thank you whoever bot or person has put this in the recommended and many people like me can see the problem which this video has effortlessly put in the spotlight.

KZfaq claims they support animators. Nope, they support vloggers. It just happened that some animators found an effective way to be vloggers and their animatics are additionally making their content more attractive. It's a loophole for animators. For us the only way to be youtubers is either story time animatics, or very rushed quality animations. Notice how Sr Pelo, despite being the king of comedy animators, still gets little to no recognition, has to post alternative versions on new grounds to get popularity, all that while his content looks like something between an animation and an animatic.
