The peddles are used to hold and play a sound and the sound will go on unless you take yr foot off the pedal

Don't worry you really only use the right pedal. occasinoly (usually in duets) you will use the left pedal if you play secendo but I have never had to use the middle pedal it's just kinda there-

The middle pedal is cool though it does the same as the right pedal but only for currently held notes not any subsequent notes,. also on high end digital pianos you can program the middle pedal for different functions such as changing the voice.

As for the pedals... right is acceleration, left is clutch and the middle is for braking.

Glad you enjoy your new Donner digital piano. Sounds like this instrument only comes with 1 default piano sound. Most digital pianos & keyboards have a headphone plug so no surprise here. I'm sure there are a lot more things to discover as you play more songs. Definitely looks like this DP is made for you...

I settled for a reasonably priced digital piano by Yamaha because they seem to have a realistic sound that doesn't sound like a door bell like most of the others.

Donner deserves respect plowing into new markets. "Haha!" to all the high priced manufacturers that will be overlooked with this model. This thing might be pressboard and contact paper, but they had the foresight to include a music stand (limited as it is). I think my parents bought the first spinet Baldwin for $600 with which I took lessons in like 1968.

Yeah, the banana thing’s true. I threw one at my aunt once, and it took forever to get the red stuff out of the carpet. Idk what she was doing next to a box of cranberry sauce, but now the carpet’s stained until we can get a new one.

As a piano teacher, soooo many of my students get the cheapo and need to upgrade in a month or two when pedals and dynamics and phrasing become important. Even getting a MIDI controller and learning some software might be better if a student cant get a good piano right away or if they are too young they can just play at their lessons for 6 months or so while the parents can save up the $800 on something that is nicer (Donner is great at sponsoring content and their instruments are pretty convenient, but shop around ;-). I tune pianos and have helped students get free real pianos and tune for around a hundred.
