The saxophone one actually surprised me for how accurate the sound was, and the key placement. I played saxophone for my band class and it was hard at first and for the first week I didn't even know how to make a sound, But now I'm homeschooled and I still have my sax in my closet, but throughout my year in band we did concerts that were pretty fun (anxiety inducing)

I like the keyboard. Hey, something similar to that is how I started playing piano back when I was 9, I believe, and I loved it. Then, in 2012, I got a 61 key Casio keyboard for Christmas, and I *love* that piano, and can play a lot of songs (mostly from video games). Heck, I've been playing it almost every day lately. I'm pretty passionate about playing music, but it started with my pink keyboard that's similar to that one, so I absolutely recommend checking ones like that out. It's not too big an investment, and sounds good enough that it might get someone interested in music.

A very fun video to watch. Thank you. Pity, you offended the recorder though, I believe it's quite a playable thing. It just requires some practice. This stuff is usually really cheap if plastic, and if you're not a super professional player, it should be OK. Yours looks like a normal one )) Thank you again for all your great videos!

Fun review. I miss some testing of the intervals between the notes, if the internal tuning makes them playable. Like: can they play C-D-E-F-G-A-B-c , or other basic exercise? Then rate tuning and playability from 0-5 and add them up.

Yea. I was confused to. And for abyone who wants to know the difference: The Marimba has a larger range. It goes down to two oktaves under the middle c and up to 3 oktaves above. The Xylopohne has a more sharp sound due to its bars mostly made out of metal and not wood like the marimba. Also common Xylopohnes dont go under the middle c. They often start in the first and second oktave and tend to go higher than marimbas.

Natalie McGill a marimba is made of one tree; one entire log. A xylophone can be made of metal, wood, synthetic material, even a mixture (I believe, I’m not a percussionist). Also Yes, glockenspiels are made of metal.

@@nataliemcg1708 actually that was my foult. Xylophones are commonly also made out of wood. A Glockenspiel is always out of metal. I mixed something up. The Glockenspiel commonly covers 2 oktaves and goes up to 3 1/2 oktaves. The Glockenspiel is also often used i marching bands. So that one in the video is a Glockenspiel. :) And a small fact: Glockenspiel is a German word and literally translated it means Bells-play.

Out of all these instruments, the recorder actually has the most potential. I've seen better triangles, and the musical frog is, well, a musical frog (they are fun). The Yamaha Soprano recorder is almost indestructible and very popular among kids for that reason, but it can make beautiful music in the right hands.

Bought my son that exact accordion when he turned 3. He’s 14 now and we still have it LOL It sounds cheap, but at least in our case, it’s still kicking. That’s also serving years of being tossed in a toy box and other kids living to mess with it when they would come play. So just my experience.

5:44 That recorder was the exact one that we used in music class, I also happened to be in 4th grade at the time. It was more fun than it might have been for other people.

I always wanted to play the flute as a kid, but obviously my parents wouldn't let me, so I settled for a recorder. I must say that I was honestly a beast at it. It was also the same one in the video, and was in year 5. This must be a universal experience for everyone on earth.

I started playing recorder in 3rd and we got strings put on the recorder everytime we successfully did a song and I was the best in my class but not the best in the 3 classes (we played 3-5 grade)

I had a electric keyboard like the one in the vid, except it was bigger and pink. It had like 8 different beats, a record function a option to change the instrument, and even pre-played songs so it looked like you were actually good. It sounded like the noises of hell in a few years but it was nice having it!

In fact in my fourth grade music class we did play the recorder and we learned the star wars darth vader theme thing and under the sea from the little mermaid and never got to play them at a concert cuz i think around then covid struck and we all got sent home
