I like the fact that you use the scrap screen pieces tbh. It shows that you don’t always have to go out and buy something if you have some incomplete pieces

I agree with you on Scyther that’s a great name. Some other ideas I thought of Azure Verde, Nick Slime (Nickelodeon Slime), Gumby, Bruce Banner, Mysterio, and Carl.

Thank you so much! Those are all great names - very creative. I will add a few of those names to my list! I especially like Mysterio, since I tend to name my animals after movie/TV show characters! 😊

When I lived in Kenya (Nairobi) I knew a kid from school who was big into catching snakes, he would pull snakes such as these from the bushes quite often, and used to have bite marks on his hands. I do wonder what became of him as he was 15 at the time and its now over 30 years ago. Very pretty snake and I like the setup!

I'd recommend using an aquarium grade silicone sealer for gluing items inside an enclosure. Less toxic chemicals, and is designed to be used around animals.

Thank you so much for watching! He’s so beautiful. He was so eager to get out of that container! 😂 It’s definitely difficult to wrap my mind around using lizards as feeders - especially since I keep many myself. I get very emotionally attached to animals, but I need to remind myself that the ‘circle of life’ is inevitable and doesn’t always look pretty. I will try assist-feeding frozen/thawed rodents and hope for the best! 🤞🏼

Maybe if you rub your mice all over your lizards he will pick up the sent.. I mean or get a dead lizard and rub them on the dead one to keep from traumatizing your pets lol

Nice video. At first i really thought it was green mamba when i saw the intro :D. As you said they are very similar. Scyther is a good name (one of the best pokemons that i always wanted to have), if you still wondering i've got a two suggestions for a name: Eden or Basil (Basilisk). Hope to see him more on your channel from now on.

Here in South Africa these are common and often found in houses as they love geckos 🦎 Weird as the bush snakes usually hair black spot down their two thirds of there upper body and a bright Grren tail. Enjoy 😉

Note this is not Philothamnus Semivariegatus, but Philothamnus Irregularis. Two entirely different species found in complete opposite parts of Africa. The one you are thinking of is the Spotted Bush snake(Philothamnus Semivariegatus) and unfortunately does not thrive in Captivity as yet. There are many green snakes in the Philothamnus genus so looking at distribution and scientific names are important

Hello there I am back! Today I decided to let mine (African bush snake) bite and chew me to prove to myself that snakes can have “rear fangs” that aren’t connected to any venom gland lol, it HURT, can confirm tho no symptoms (I think the painful burning after) was from the teeth, so basically the back teeth are huge and they dig in you and go back and forth like a knife, for a 2 foot snake, that was impressively painful actually! It made noticeable marks, almost like a papercut look but even bigger and wider, it drew blood, still burning about 10 mins later but can confirm no venom :/. A tad bummer, but very cool Teeth.
