For anyone wondering, the British Library takes a copy of literally everything published, even things like gossip magazines - mostly as a way to preserve culture into the future. They have these monstrously huge storage warehouses with robots to find the books. Tom Scott does a great video on it.

@@mar-nyanIt's pretty bonkers. By law all publications in the UK have to provide a copy to the British Library, which then has to store them and make them available (with restrictions in many cases to keep old and fragile and rare things safe).

@@felixg3 Actually, the US doesn't have the same thing. The Library of Congress has a ton of books, but they don't automatically get all the books made in the US. (They specifically call this out in an FAQ on their website)

Publishing and capitalizing on hate comments is neither new nor unusual. I don't read or care about those types of publications, so I don't have an example in the back of my mind right now, but I've seen many here and there through times. Even Liquid Death, the canned water company, made 4 albums out of hate comment available for download and streaming, and they even pushed it further and made vinyl pressing of these albums😂. I'm not saying Max is not funny or uninspired because that's not true at all, I'm just pointing out it is not a unique thing and that it's not what make the funniest part of that video
